Methods and systems for a payment processing service (PPS) to receive transaction data for transaction(s) processed by the PPS; generate training data based on the transaction data that comprises, for individual transactions, a service, an employee, and a duration; training a duration-identification model using the training data, wherein the duration-identification model outputs a duration for a particular service with a particular employee; receiving, from a computing device of a customer, a request for an appointment for the service; determining, based at least in part on the duration-identification model and the service, a duration of the service with the particular employee; based at least in part on the duration, determining a proposed appointment with the employee for the service; and causing presentation of a user interface of the computing device of the customer that includes an indication of the proposed appointment. A customer-specific model may also be used.

User interface component generation using service and/or duration information

Techniques are described for generating user interface components corresponding to services performed by merchants and periods of time for performing the services. The techniques may include a payment processing service determining service information associated with services performed for merchants for whom the payment processing service has processed payments. In examples, a duration-identification model may be trained using at least one of employee-management data, appointment data, or catalog data. The duration-identification model may be applied to stored transaction data to determine duration information associated with the service(s) performed by the merchants. Based on the service information and duration information, user interface components may be generated without user input from a user. The user interface components may correspond to the service and periods of time for performing the services.

This disclosure describes, in part, techniques for automated integration between services provided by a service provider. The techniques described herein employ classifiers to determine whether items offered for sale by a merchant are services or goods. A service-identification model may receive names of items as inputs, and be trained or otherwise configured to output indications of whether the names of the items correspond to services. In some examples, the names of the items which correspond to services may further be input into a duration-identification model, which is trained or otherwise configured to determine periods of time required by the merchant to perform the services. The techniques described herein may include populating user interfaces, such as a merchant website, with indications of the services, as well as periods of time to perform the services, that customers may interact with to schedule appointments with the merchant.
