A method performed in a wireless power transfer receiver includes determining whether a power transfer rate of the wireless power transfer receiver is at or above a threshold. The method further includes, in response to the power transfer rate being at or above the threshold, alternating between a power receiving mode and a non-power receiving mode in the wireless power transfer receiver. The wireless power transfer receiver being in the non-power receiving mode increases an amount of transmitted power that is available to be received by one or more other wireless power transfer receivers.

Regulation of wirelessly charging multiple devices from the same source

A host device with a memory card slot and an associated fingernail recess is provided. In one embodiment, a host device is provided comprising a housing with an outer surface, a memory card slot formed in the housing and accessible for memory card insertion through a slot opening in the outer surface, and a plurality of electrical contacts exposed in the memory card slot for engaging corresponding contacts on a memory card. The host device further comprises a recess in the outer surface associated with the slot opening, wherein the recess is sized to allow fingernail access to a fingernail grip of the memory card in the memory card slot. Other embodiments are possible, and each of the embodiments can be used alone or together in combination.

Systems and methods for managing a storage device are disclosed. Generally, in a host to which a storage device is operatively coupled, wherein the storage device includes a cache for storing one or more discardable files, a file is identified to be uploaded to an external location. A determination is made whether sufficient free space exists in the cache to pre-stage the file for upload to the external location and the file is stored in the cache upon determining that sufficient free space exists in the cache to pre-stage the file for upload to the external location, wherein pre-stating prepares a file for opportunistically uploading such file in accordance with an uploading policy.
