A simple, compact, and economical motor/pump unit for supplying vacuum to a pneumatic brake booster of a motor-vehicle brake system, wherein the motor/pump unit is designed as a diaphragm pump having a single elastomeric diaphragm, which is moved by an electrically operated motor unit by an eccentric drive, and has a pump housing and a working-space cover and the diaphragm is clamped between the pump housing and the working-space cover at the radial outer edge of the diaphragm in a sealing manner and the working-space cover is designed as a multi-part working-space cover having an upper cover, a lower cover, and an inlet valve and an outlet valve, which are arranged between the upper cover and the lower cover and control the air circulation through the working space.

Motor/pump unit having a single elastic diaphragm

The invention relates to a pump unit that can be driven by an electric motor, in particular for providing vacuum for a pneumatic brake booster, including a pump housing that can be closed by a working-chamber cover and at least one elastic displacement element, wherein a working chamber is bounded between the displacement element and the working-chamber cover and wherein inlet valves and outlet valves and inlet channels and outlet channels associated with the valves are associated with the working chamber. According to the invention, in order to reduce noise emissions, devices for reducing a contact surface between the working-chamber cover and the pump housing are provided.

Pump unit driven by an electric motor

A pump assembly for supplying negative pressure to a pneumatic brake booster, wherein the pump assembly has at least two elastic displacement elements which are moved by connecting rods, the connecting rods each being rotatably mounted on an eccentric element. The eccentric element has a bearing seat element and a force element. At least two eccentric elements are secured next to each other on a drive shaft that rotates about an axis of rotation and an interlocking anti-rotation device is provided that determines a defined angular position of the eccentric elements relative to each other about the axis of rotation. In order to improve the ease of assembly and simplify the manufacturability, the anti-rotation device is designed as shaped elements of the bearing seat element in such a way that they engage in each other in an interlocking manner when the eccentric elements are in a defined angular position relative to each other.

Pump assembly

A motor-pump unit, for providing pressure for a brake actuating device having a pneumatic brake booster including a pump and an electric motor driving the pump, the pump being a dual diaphragm pump having two opposed working diaphragms, each of which is clamped between a pump casing and a working chamber cover and delimits a working chamber, and moveable by a crank drive having connecting rods and bearings, the working diaphragm connected firmly to a tappet and, together with the connecting rod, in each case forming a diaphragm unit. In order to provide a low-noise motor-pump unit which is more cost-effective and requires reduced expenditure on assembly, the connecting rods are made of plastic, wherein in each case one tappet and one bearing are encapsulated with the material of the connecting rod. Alternatively, the connecting rods can be formed in one piece with the tappet and provided as sintered components.

Motor pump unit

Disclosed is a brake actuation unit for actuating a 'brake-by-wire' type brake system for a motor vehicle. The brake system includes a brake booster operable via a brake pedal mounted on a shaft and via an electronic control unit depending on the driver's request, and an element to decouple a force-transmitting connection between the brake pedal and the brake booster in the 'brake-by-wire' operating mode. Also included are a device to detect a deceleration request of the driver, and a pedal travel simulator which interacts with the brake pedal and is formed of a simulator spring, which is arranged in terms of effect between a force-transmitting part connected to the brake pedal and a simulator housing, which is mounted on the shaft by means of two bearings. The simulator housing () includes a cylindrical area () for the accommodation of the two bearings (). This measure renders it possible to reduce the deformations that occur during actuation of the pedal travel simulator to a great extent.

Brake actuation unit for actuating a motor vehicle brake system

Motor-pump assembly

A partition wall () deflects the air emerging from the interior space () in the air outlet unit (between the filter housing () and the air outlet cover (), with an integrally molded valve holding element ().

A motor/pump assembly for a motor vehicle brake system including a pump and a motor driving the pump, the pump having opposite working diaphragms which are, in each case, mounted between a pump casing and a cover and thereby delimit a space and which can be moved by a crank drive, the space being assigned, in each case, an inlet duct with an inlet valve and an outlet duct with an outlet valve. The outlet ducts are arranged in the covers and in the pump casing such that air displaced out of the spaces is conducted into an inner space surrounding the crank drive of the pump casing and that an air outlet unit be provided, which allows a low-noise blow-out of the air from the inner space as a result of the deflection of the air.

In order to minimize the friction which occurs between the force transmitting part and the input member when the brake booster is activated, the force transmitting part, and/or the input member of the brake booster are/is provided in the region of the relative movement of the two parts with respect to one another with means which reduce friction which occurs during the relative movement of the parts with respect to one another.
