Systems and methods are provided for compensating for parasitics in current measurements utilizing series current sense resistors. In one or more embodiments, the techniques include connecting a probe to a terminal of a circuit and a waveform measuring device. A waveform measuring device then acquires, through the probe, a voltage waveform. A virtual probe netlist is generated, where the netlist is descriptive of a series resistance and associated parasitics. A virtual probe processor converts, based on the virtual probe netlist, the voltage waveform to a current waveform representative of a current in the circuit.

System and method for current sense resistor compensation

An inductor current measurement probe apparatus and system are described herein. In an embodiment, a system comprises a probe interconnect including a first connector that couples to a positive terminal of the inductor and a second connector that couples to a negative terminal of the inductor. The system further comprises an RC filter that is coupled to the probe interconnect and that includes at least one resistor and at least one capacitor in an arrangement that converts a voltage of the inductor to a differential capacitor voltage. The system further comprises a differential active probe input circuitry including a positive terminal and a negative terminal that are coupled to the RC filter and arranged to convert the differential capacitor voltage to a single-ended capacitor voltage. In other embodiments, the RC filter may be coupled directly to the inductor. The system may further convert the capacitor voltage to inductor current.

Inductor current measurement probe

A method and apparatus for generating one or more transfer functions for converting waveforms. The method comprises the steps of determining a system description, representative of a circuit, comprising a plurality of system components, each system component comprising at least one component characteristic, the system description further comprising at least one measurement node and at least one output node, each of the at least one measurement nodes representative of a waveform digitizing location in the circuit. One or more transfer functions are determined for converting a waveform from one or more of the at least one measurement nodes to a waveform at one or more of the at least one output nodes. The generated transfer functions are then stored in a computer readable medium.

Virtual probing

A method and system for measuring the input (loading) impedance of measurement systems using a test fixture. This is done by first measuring the characteristics of an unloaded test fixture to obtain scattering parameters of the test fixture and using a splitting algorithm to calculate the scattering parameters of each transmission line leg of the test fixture. The test fixture is then measured with a measurement system attached. The test fixture effects defined by the scattering parameters are then removed from the measurement to yield the scattering parameters of the measurement system alone (measurement system effects).

A system and method for automated layout of collaboratively selected images within a compilation for printing, viewing, etc. The images may be drawn from any number of albums owned by various users, and have associated rankings reflecting the users' behavior regarding the images (e.g., viewing, printing, recommending). Some number of images is selected for the compilation (e.g., the highest ranked images) and the images are arranged into chapters that correspond to the albums in which they are located. Within each chapter, images are ordered by time and grouped into clusters of related images (e.g., close in time, same event, same subject). Page templates are used to determine how many images to place on a page, and may be designed or redesigned so that the prominence (e.g., size) of each image corresponds to its ranking. The chapters, pages and/or images may be augmented with titles or captions.

System and method for automated layout of collaboratively selected images

A system and method for managing security meta-data in a reverse proxy server. The reverse proxy caches data served by an origin server, and also stores security meta-data for authenticating a user and/or authorizing access to cached data. The security meta-data may include an ACL (Access Control List), access control token or descriptor, other access control information, user credentials, user privileges or roles, group membership, user aliases, etc. The reverse proxy may automatically receive access control information from the origin server when a request for data is forwarded to the origin server, or may explicitly request the information from the origin server or a security server. The reverse proxy receives and applies invalidation messages to invalidate stored security meta-data. Also, the reverse proxy acts in a stateful manner, with knowledge of the correlation between a given user and that user's session with the origin server.

A lossy dielectric device dissipates, absorbs, and/or dampens electric fields. The lossy dielectric device may be used with any transmission path, such as a transmission line or resistor in a probe head. The lossy dielectric device preferably includes a lossy dielectric material contained within a container. The container is positionable and securable substantially adjacent the transmission path to improve the curve of a frequency response. Preferably, the container is insulative, puncture resistant, and thin. In some preferred embodiments, a temporary or permanent connection mechanism is also included.

A method of servicing a request for a document over a computer network includes independently caching portions of pages called blocks. Each block includes a reference to a data source and code that is adapted to access the data source and to format the data accessed from the data source. When a request for a page is received over a computer network, one or more of the plurality of blocks defined in the script of the requested document may be retrieved from a cache memory. Any block that is not found in the cache memory is dynamically generated and a copy thereof is stored in the cache memory. The requested page may then be assembled from the page blocks retrieved from the cache memory and/or the dynamically generated page blocks.

Methods and systems for partial page caching of dynamically generated content

One embodiment of the present invention provides a system that facilitates serving data from a cache server. The system operates upon receiving a request for the data at the cache server. The system first determines if the request requires access control, and also if the data is available in the cache. If the request requires access control and if the data is available in the cache, the system sends an authorization request to an origin server. Upon receiving a response from the origin server, the system determines if the response is an authorization. If so, the system sends the data to the requester.

Within the scope of the invention, there is a probe tip module comprising a first probe tip adapted for probing a circuit under test to receive a signal therefrom. The probe tip module includes an amplifier having a first input solidly connected to the probe tip, an output connected to an output connector, and a housing for supporting the probe tip, the amplifier, and the output connector. A probe body is cooperatively adapted with the housing for repeatably removably receiving at least the output connector.

Apparatus and associated systems and methods may relate to a wide bandwidth cable assembly that may include an active amplification stage to receive high frequency signals (e.g., 1 GHz or above) through a transmission line extending distally to a passive, high density signal probe stage. In an illustrative example, the probe stage may receive multiple analog or digital signals from a device under test (DUT). In some embodiments, the probe stage may include probe pins with integrated series resistance to control signal loading, and an equalizer to shape the signal path's frequency response. The amplification stage may provide a virtual ground reference for a termination impedance that may match the transmission line's impedance and may connect in series with a feedback impedance. In one example, a minimally invasive probe head may facilitate measurement of multiple channels of a high speed data bus with minimal signal distortion and/or attenuation.

Probing high-frequency signals

A test probe tip constructed substantially from resistive material. The resistive material is made of resistive conducting material substantially enclosed in and dispersed throughout encapsulating material. The test probe tip has a probing end for probing electronic circuitry and a connection end for interfacing with a probing head. The resistive conducting material forms at least one path through the encapsulating material from the probing end to the connection end. The resistive conducting material may be a plurality of longitudinally-extending resistive/conductive members or a plurality of particulate resistive/conductive members.

A system and method for sharing images and collaborating in the selection of images likely to be interest to a user. Images (e.g., photos) are shared within a community of users, by allowing user to access any unrestricted community image, recommend an image to another user, assemble compilations of any images the user can access, etc. Various metrics regarding user activity are tracked, such as how often an image was viewed, downloaded, recommended, included in a compilation, printed, edited, etc. The metric values may be normalized, and then weighted and combined to produce, for each image, a ranking or rating personalized to an individual user. Ratings of images for a user may be used to order them for electronic presentation, assemble a set of images for an electronic compilation (e.g., an online album) or physical compilation (e.g., a photo book, a yearbook) or for some other purpose.

System and method for collaborative image selection

A system and method for dynamically selecting a level of compression to be applied to data to be served to a client. The level of compression may be selected on the basis of one or more factors, such as: the bandwidth of a communication link between the client and a server, the amount of data requested by the client, the workload of the server, whether the data are cacheable, etc. The server can readily obtain information such as the amount of requested data and the available CPU time on the server. To determine the bandwidth, the server may conduct a test transfer of a known amount of data to or from the client, or consult a database identifying known or expected bandwidths for specific client connections (or addresses). Based on the selected factor(s), the server dynamically selects a level of compression for the data.
