The plow lock is a device that is adapted for use with a plow or a snowplow in order to immobilize the plow or snowplow from use. The plow lock includes a first plate affixed to a second plate. The second plate forms a right angle with the first plate. The first plate includes a first lock hole thereon. The second plate is further defined with an outer surface. The outer surface of the second plate is affixed to a wedge member. The wedge member extends outwardly from the second plate. The plow attachment bracket includes a plow lock hole that aligns with the first lock hole of the first plate such that a lock is locked thereon so as to secure the plow lock onto the plow attachment bracket thereby preventing a vehicle from attachment to the plow attachment bracket.

Enhancing queries for information retrieval that automatically finds the preferred, first ranked matching term usage subject area ('TUSA') from a prior query. The process automatically finds alternative TUSAs for the prior query, ranked by degree of match or preference, and provides an option to switch among the alternative TUSAs. It is required that a TUSA for the query be passively accepted or actively selected from a presented list based on the prior query. Using means prepared in advance from data sets of messages collected for each TUSA and general vocabulary the process also ranks and presents to the user alternative and additional query terms and phrases reflecting specificity and relevance to the query and the TUSA. Significantly relevant terms and phrases are presented for query refinement and ranked by relevance permitting the user to select and deselect query terms and effect a new search based on the enhanced query.

Process for enhancing queries for information retrieval

A system permits a customer service agent to receive and listen to an audio recording from a caller on a voice device (), and thereby prepare to support the caller before connecting directly with him/her. The incoming call may originate on a public telephone network (), and be received by a system (). The system () may include one or more of an automatic call distributor/private branch exchange (), a voice response unit (), and a computer telephone integration server (), and possibly a data device (). The caller may be prompted to provide an audio message concerning the nature of the telephone call. Before being connected to the caller, the service agent may be provided with the audio message from the caller, possibly via the data device (). After listening to the caller's previously recorded audio message and preparing to assist the caller, the agent and caller may then be directly connected together.

Systems and methods for providing audio information to service agents

A real-time or streaming speech processing system and method is disclosed with capabilities distributed between and client and a server where the server may be reached via the Internet. The speech processing entails digitizing and converting the utterances to features extracted to help the processing. The features are sent via a communications channel to the server where the recognition occurs. The features extracted allow low bandwidth channels to be used with still maintaining real-time response. The recognizer will determine the most likely text representing the utterances and return the text to the client. The system can be used to identify and/or verify who is speaking.

Client/server speech processor/recognizer

An elongated water ballasted oil spill containment boom made of flexible, compact, and easily storable material and having an inner and an outer chambers. When inflated with water the inner chamber assumes a substantially circular cross section and is cylindrical in shape. The selection of the ratio of the size of the outer and inner chambers controls the degree to which the boom floats above the water level and is submerged below the water level. The portions of the boom above and below the water level prevent, respectively, splashover of oil and the escape of oil under the boom. The boom is statically stable in that a strong righting moment tends to automatically properly reorient the boom in the event of undesirable wave, current or wind forces.

An improved fluid filter medium, including a fabric member having a plurality of folds that are seamed at the top and bottom to form a fabric sleeve with pockets, such pockets being configured to enclose the leaves of a filter element frame. A tubular seal is seemed to each end of the fabric sleeve and filled with a resilient material to form a compressible seal. Each tubular seal is configured to be compressed between the central cylindrical perforated core of the filter element frame and a sealing plate or flange such that, upon compression, the tubular seal forms a seal between the sealing plates or flanges and the fabric sleeve.
