A closure device for a plastic container includes a liner and a plastic closure. The liner is sealed to the neck of the bottle at the end face of the neck and along a portion of the outer surface of the neck. The plastic closure engages the liner to retain the liner against the neck during sealing and to seal the area between the liner and the closure top from liquids present during cooling of the container. The closure includes a top wall, an annular closure skirt depending from the top wall, an annular outer flexible seal depending from the top wall, and at least one annular pressure ring. The outer flexible seal retains an outer edge of the liner against the outer surface of the container neck and prevents ingress of liquids. The annular pressure ring engages the liner to retain the liner against the end face of the neck during sealing.

Closure and container system for hot filled containers

A container which includes body, neck and cover portions of one-piece plastic construction and a line of weakness defined between the neck and cover portions to permit selective separation of the cover from the neck, further includes an inner closure carried by and removable with the cover portion to prevent spillage of the container contents upon opening of the container. The inner closure is disposed to seal the neck below the line of weakness to isolate the contents of the container from the area of the line of weakness. When the container is heat sterilized, means is provided associated with the chamber defined by the cover and closure to prevent collapse of the cover during the post heat-sterilization cooling cycle. The associated means includes structure to provide moist air in the defined chamber during heating of the container without endangering the sterility of the container contents or nullifying the advantage of the inner closure.

In an alarm control system for protecting a premises, a four conductor bus line leading from a master control station is extended about the interior perimeter of the premises. Sensors positioned near each port of entry to be monitored are connected in parallel relationship to the bus line, as is at least one remote station for manually arming, disarming or activating the system. Each sensor comprises a biased reel carrying line secured to window, door, screen, or the like. Disturbance of a sensor causes a magnetically responsive switch therein to generate a pulse triggering circuitry within the control station to activate the desired alarm device for a predetermined period of time. The system then resets automatically to an armed or ready condition to continue protecting the premises against subsequent intrusions. Preferably, the lines in the sensors are of a thermoplastic material so that the system is also activated by abnormally high temperature in the event of fire. If desired, one or more key operated switches can be connected to the bus line to arm or disarm the system from the exterior of the premises.

Alarm control system

A utility trailer for towing behind a vehicle, for uses such as carrying a motorcycle. The frame is rectangular and comprised of tubular members, with longitudinal channels on top of the tubular members for receiving motorcycle wheels. A detachable castor wheel supports the frame and is connected to it by means of leaf springs attached to the wheel on opposite sides. Two hitches for connecting the trailer to a vehicle are spaced apart on the forward end of the frame. Each hitch has two tabs, one connected to the vehicle and one to the frame that are coupled together by a pin. The hitch portion that is connected to the frame is L-shaped so that it can be inverted to change the height for different vehicle sizes. The mounting system for securing motorcycles includes a pair of telescoping tubes that are threaded together so that their combined length may be varied. The tubes have eyes attached to opposite ends with self-aligning bearings for insertion over pins that are connected to the motorcycle and to the frame.

Utility trailer

A tray washing system includes conveyors which transport compartmented food service trays from a tray receiving mechanism to inverting and scrapping mechanisms and through washing, rinsing and drying mechanisms to a stacking mechanism. The receiving mechanism restricts trays to insertion in a predetermined orientation in which the food receiving surfaces face upwardly, and the inverting mechanism inverts each tray so that the food receiving surface faces downwardly. As each tray is inverted, the scrapping mechanism discharges substantially the entire contents of a cleaning fluid reservoir onto the food receiving surface of the tray, and thereby dislodges refuse and silverware that may be on the tray. The washing, rinsing and drying mechanism apply a water-detergent solution, rinse water, and drying air to the trays, respectively, and the stacking mechanism deposits the trays onto a mobile self-depressing tray receiver. The tray washing system further includes a silverware separating and soaking mechanism comprising a chute which receives cleaning fluid and refuse and silverware entrained therein, a dam which removes the heavier silverware from the cleaning fluid, and a door in the bottom of the chute for dropping the silverware into a soaking sink.
