A container for transporting an item is provided having an outer case member erectable from a collapsed configuration to an erected configuration and at least one erectable support member fixedly attached to the outer case member. The support member may include: a first base panel; a second base panel foldably coupled to the first base panel to form a folded, dual-layer structure; a first functional portion foldably coupled to the first base panel and being foldable to form a structure to at least one of partially support or partially secure the item to be transported within the outer case member; and a second functional portion foldably coupled to the second base panel and being foldable to form another structure to at least one of partially support or partially secure the item to be transported within the outer case member. Methods of packaging and transporting an item in a container are also provided.

Container and method for storage and transport of supported contents

A container for transporting an item is provided having an outer case member and a pair of partition members. The container is erectable from a collapsed configuration, in which the container is substantially flat, to an erected configuration in which the partition members form a support structure within an interior cavity of the outer case member to support a portion of the item to be transported. Methods of packaging and transporting an item in a container are also provided.

Low-cost, semi-permanent rigid-wall modular Yurt-type, peaked-roof structures, polygonally 'round' (in plan view), made of modular, light-weight, water-proof cellular extruded plastic sheet panels that are easily portable, quickly erectable and dismountable, having a wide variety of uses. The modular panels are easily die-cut from any water-resistant, non-metallic, rigid material, preferably an extruded plastic, such as a polyolefin polymer. Few panel configurations are needed to form all the structural elements. In addition, multiple similar modular structures may be grouped to form larger compound structures with individual ones of the Yurts being assigned to individual persons or dedicated work space usages: disaster shelters, sleeping, gathering, storage, hygiene, medical treatment, schooling, entertainment, goods manufacture, cooking, eating, herding, etc. The key principles of the inventive technology are equally applicable to both single-walled and double-walled structures, the latter of which provide spaces between the walls for inter-panel insulation for cold-weather environments and passive ventilation in hot environments.

A container for tie-less securing and transport of contents includes an inner case member positionable within an interior of an outer case member. The inner case member includes at least two side panels, a top panel, and a base panel, forming a second interior, a collapsed portion of first and second side panels being positioned adjacent each other to form a slot for engaging a portion of the contents and securing the contents therein. The container further includes a closure panel having a retaining flap configured to extend into the interior and including a securing tab and a lip portion, which erects in response to the securing tab pivoting with respect to the retaining flap, forming a barrier configured to rest against and bias the contents into the slot, when the closure panel is in a first closed position.

Container and method for tie-less storage and transport of secured contents

An improved resilient torsion arrangement. The torsion arrangement is comprised of a wire-like body member having an upper portion formed in a first predetermined open geometrical configuration, a transverse portion extending across the first predetermined open geometrical configuration, and a lower portion having a second predetermined open geometrical configuration. The upper portion and the lower portion are resiliently movable toward, or away from, each other to put the transverse portion into torsion. The torsion in the transverse portion provides the resilient force resisting movement of the upper portion toward the lower portion. Proper selection of the relationships between the upper portion and the lower portion and configuration of the transverse portion can provide predetermined relationships between the force required to move the upper portion toward, and away from, the lower portion and the separation between the upper portion and the lower portion.
