A system for visualization of eye anatomy includes at least one camera having a view vector along a first axis when in a first position, a housing to which the camera is coupled, wherein the housing engages the head of a patient such that the camera is positioned adjacent a patient's eye, and an actuator that moves the camera from the first position to a second position with a view vector along a second axis that is offset from the first axis. A method of visualization of eye anatomy includes engaging a patient's head with a housing, positioning at least one camera coupled to the housing adjacent an eye, wherein the camera has a view vector along a first axis when in a first position, and moving the camera to a second position with a view vector along a second axis offset from the first axis.

System and method for visualization of ocular anatomy

A laryngeal access system includes a laryngeal blade with a proximal portion and a distal portion, an inner channel extending longitudinally through the laryngeal blade, wherein an outer wall of the laryngeal blade has an opening therethrough extending from the proximal portion to the distal portion of the blade through which an object can pass through the outer wall into the inner channel, an articulating member provided at the distal portion of the blade, and an actuator provided at the proximal portion of the blade and coupled to the articulating member, wherein the actuator moves the articulating member from a first position, in which the articulating member has a first longitudinal axis, to a second position, in which the articulating member extends at an angle relative to the first longitudinal axis.

Side loading articulating laryngeal access system

A balloon resection method is disclosed generally including inserting a catheter with at least one balloon having an outer wall with a resecting, non-slip surface for resecting unwanted biological material, such as tissues or tumors, and supplying fluid thereto in pulsed fashion to repeatedly deflate and inflate the balloon. In certain embodiments, a pump controls the pulsed supply of fluid based on an established frequency or change in volume. In some embodiments, the a keyed connector is used to identify the balloon type, and in some cases, intra-lumen diameters and densities are calculated. In some embodiments, the balloon portion of the catheter includes multiple balloon segments, which in some cases, are inflatable separately from one another.

Fluid source with physiological feedback

A method of localized delivery of a therapeutic and/or diagnostic agent to nasal tissue or cavities includes inserting a catheter into a nasal cavity, the catheter having an outer balloon with at least one opening therethrough and an inner surface, and an inner balloon disposed in the outer balloon and at least partially enclosing an inflation chamber and having an outer surface defining a space between the outer surface of the inner balloon and the inner surface of the outer balloon, supplying the agent to the space between the outer surface of the inner balloon and the inner surface of the outer balloon via a first lumen of the catheter, and inflating the inner balloon by supplying fluid to the inflation chamber via a second lumen of the catheter to urge the agent out of the opening in the wall of the outer balloon and into nasal tissue.

Nasal delivery of agents with nested balloon catheter

A method of delivering a therapeutic and/or diagnostic agent to tissue is provided including the steps of inserting a catheter into a bodily cavity, the catheter having a proximal balloon and a distal balloon, inflating the proximal and distal balloons to create a chamber between the proximal and distal balloons, delivering the therapeutic and/or diagnostic agent to the chamber, measuring fluid pressure in the chamber, measuring at least one fluid dynamic characteristic of a subject, and adjusting the delivery of the therapeutic and/or diagnostic agent based at least in part on the measured volumetric pressure in the chamber and the at least one fluid dynamic characteristic of the subject.

Modulated drug delivery

A system for dilating the sinus ostia with a device including a series of elongated members, each having a central channel and increasing outer diameters where the members are positioned one over the other such that the members are advanced to incrementally dilate the sinus ostia. The central channels of each member allow for various procedures to be performed including, for example, the application of wireless energy (e.g., ultrasonic, RF, etc.) to the sinus ostia, the introduction of an irrigating fluid and aspiration from the sinus ostia, and the introduction of a drug to the sinus ostia.

Sinus ostia dilation system

A balloon catheter system and method for clearing blockage in the sinus ostium. The balloon catheter system and method employs a first balloon which dilates the sinus ostium while a second balloon removes an obstruction by resection. The system and method can then remove and/or drain any biological matter in the sinus. In some embodiments, the system employs an imaging device for viewing the anatomy and delivers irrigating and/or therapeutic agents to the sinus and/or sinus ostium.

Clearance of sinus ostia blockage

An imaging stylet is provided, including a deformable outer housing having a proximal end and a distal end with a longitudinal axis, and an opening provided at the distal end, an imaging device disposed at the distal end of the outer housing, a deformable support member disposed in the outer housing, and an actuator disposed in the outer housing and coupled to the imaging device. The imaging device is movable by the actuator from an inactivated position, in which the imaging device is substantially aligned with the longitudinal axis of the distal end, to an activated position, in which the imaging device extends out of the opening at an angle relative to the longitudinal axis of the distal end.

Body cavity dilation system

An anchored guide wire is described including at least one expansion apparatus having an outer surface for contacting surrounding tissue, an elongated guide wire with at least one lumen for supplying fluid to the expansion apparatus, and a pump that supplies fluid to the lumen to inflate the expansion apparatus, wherein the outer surface of the expansion apparatus has a textured surface for preventing slippage on surrounding tissue. A method of securing a guide wire in a bodily cavity is also described including inserting an elongated guide wire with an expansion apparatus having a textured outer surface and a lumen for supplying fluid to the expansion apparatus, into the bodily cavity, supplying fluid to the lumen with a pump until the expansion apparatus is inflated, moving a medical device along the elongated guide wire, deflating the expansion apparatus, and withdrawing the guide wire from the bodily cavity.

Anchored guidewire

A system for delivering a medical instrument into a bodily cavity is provided, including an outer shaft having an aperture in a side wall thereof, wherein the aperture is provided at a distal portion of the outer shaft, an inner shaft positioned inside the outer shaft and having an inflatable balloon disposed at a distal portion thereof, and a needle member movably disposed in the outer shaft, wherein the needle member extends outwardly from the outer shaft through the aperture when the balloon is inflated.
