A content collaboration system displays a UI allowing a project owner to create and edit a collaboration project, and share the collaboration project with other users. To share the collaboration project, the project owner starts a sharing workflow by providing a user input to the collaboration system UI. The sharing workflow allows the project owner to identify other users with which to share the collaboration project. As part of the sharing workflow, the project owner can input a request via the collaboration system UI to manage (e.g., create or edit) a group of users. In response to such a request, the collaboration system UI causes the group to be created or changed as requested. In response to a request to share the collaboration project with the group the collaboration system UI causes an invitation to access the collaboration project to be sent to the members of the group.

Techniques are described for utilizing drawing guides in an electronic canvas. The techniques may include detecting a first input at an edge of an artboard associated with the electronic canvas, triggering, responsive to the detected first input, a plurality of selectable indicators to enable configuration of a drawing guide for providing an interactive reference for placing content in the artboard, detecting a second input pertaining to at least one of the plurality of selectable indicators, determining a location in the artboard corresponding to the distance from the edge of the artboard, and triggering the at least one drawing guide for display in the artboard at the determined location.

Generating contextual guides

In embodiments of objects alignment and distribution layout, an object layout interface includes objects displayed for selection and manipulation. A layout algorithm receives a reposition input for a selected object in the object layout interface, and determines a distribution layout and/or an alignment layout of the objects. The layout algorithm positions the selected object equidistant between at least two of the objects or at a distance from a closest one of the objects, the distance being an equivalent distance of a space between the at least two objects. The space between the objects is displayed as positive space that visually indicates the equidistance between the objects. Alternatively or in addition, the layout algorithm positions the selected object in alignment with multiple objects, and an alignment indication, such as an edge line and/or a distance measurement, is displayed for each instance of the selected object being aligned with the multiple objects.

A content author can create adaptive content, which refers to electronic content that adapts to or changes based on the presentation context of the adaptive content. The presentation context of the adaptive content refers to characteristics of the device displaying or otherwise presenting the adaptive content. The adaptive content can be displayed to reviewers using computing devices with various different characteristics. These reviewers can provide various comments about the adaptive content, and data describing the presentation context of the adaptive content for the computing device used by the reviewer is included in metadata associated with the comment. The comments to the adaptive content are made available to the adaptive content author. When reviewing the comments, the author can select a comment and have the adaptive content displayed to the author using the presentation context of the adaptive content for the device used by the reviewer when the comment was entered.
