A dummy conversion bracket is used with a lockset having an interior assembly, an exterior assembly, and a thumbpiece. The thumbpiece is pivotally coupled to the exterior assembly and includes a tab that extends through the exterior assembly. The bracket comprises a blocking member disposed between the interior assembly and the exterior assembly. The blocking member is coupled to the exterior assembly and includes an aperture for receiving the tab. The aperture is configured to prevent the thumbpiece from pivoting relative to the exterior assembly.

Dummy conversion bracket for a lockset

A lock cylinder retainer comprises an annular portion and a rectangular portion extending from the annular portion. The annular portion is configured to engage a lock cylinder core and the rectangular portion is configured to engage a pin housing associated with the cylinder core. The annular portion includes a front edge and a flange extending radially inwardly from the front edge and the rectangular portion includes a front surface, a pair of parallel side surfaces and a top surface. The front, top and side surfaces cooperate to partially enclose the pin housing.

A lighted deadbolt according to the present invention includes a lock cylinder and a cylinder guard, a light assembly including a light source, a wiring harness including a plurality of wires electrically connected to the light source, and an annular adapter. The adapter includes a housing for receiving the light source and an annular channel for guiding the plurality of wires from the light source. The annular adapter includes a first surface, a wall extending orthogonally from the first surface, and a first plurality of tabs extending from the first surface generally parallel to the wall. The plurality of wires are operatively disposed between the first plurality of tabs and the wall. The adapter further includes a pair of fingers extending from the surface for receiving a sound producing device and a second plurality of tabs extending from the wall. The plurality of wires electrically couple the light source to the sound producing device. The second plurality of tabs are configured to engage the cylinder guard.
