Briefly, in accordance with the present invention, there is provided a novel headset communication system and method for making same, wherein the headset includes at least one earpiece coupled to a transceiver unit via an electrical cable. The cable includes communication wires, and a strength member. The strength member extends axially along the cable providing durability for the cable.

Headset communication system and method of using same

A fastener which allows for the attachment of two articles without the need for hardware such as a screw, or such as nuts, bolts and washers. The fastener comprises two members&mdash;a fastener post which serves as a male member, and a fastener post receiver which serves as a female member. The male post defines two elongated prongs, with each prong having a flange near its end. The female receiver is configured to mate with the prongs of the post. To this end, the receiver has walls which extend from a base, with the walls having a series of teeth for receiving the flanges of the post as the post is advanced into the female receiver. In addition, the walls of the female receiver are separated by channels. The channels allow the walls of the receiver to pivot about the base. This feature, in turn, allows the walls to contract and engage the male post when one attempts to separate the male post from the female receiver. In this way, the fastener post is held within the receiver in essentially secure fashion without hardware. An additional feature of the fastener is that the male and female members can be quickly and easily disconnected. This is accomplished by rotating the male post so as to disengage the teeth from the wall portions of the receiver. The post can then be slidably removed from the receiver.

An dental hygiene solution is provided comprising water; sodium tripolyphosphates in an amount from 100 to 1000 mg per gallon of water; disodium edetate in an amount from 0.01 to 1.0 ml of saturated solution per gallon of water (0.1 mg to 10 mg per gallon of water); and a detergent in an amount from 1 to 10 ml per gallon of water, which detergent is effective to remove plaque from the tooth surface and thereby reduce the risk of oral diseases associated with plaque such as tooth decay or mouth ulcers. Further provided herein is a dental hygiene paste or gel comprising the same ingredients as the solution and further including a binding agent, such as carboxymethyl-celloulose sodium in an amount from 80 g to 150 g per gallon of water.

The battery pack construction includes a housing having a battery cell disposed therein. The housing includes a base member, battery contacts recessed from the base member, and a locating recess in the base member. The housing further includes an alignment arrangement at one end thereof and a latching assembly at another end thereof.

A dental cleaning solution is an aqueous solution of sodium fluoride in water, from 0.25 to 8 ppm; sodium tripolyphosphates from 100 to 1000 mg per gallon of water; disodium edetate from 0.01 to 0.5 cc per gallon of water; and a detergent from 1 to 10 cc per gallon of water.

A dental hygiene device has a brush assembly and a control unit. The brush assembly has a handle with suction and irrigation conduits passing therethrough. A brush head has two or more parallel rows of bristles. Suction and irrigation ports are positioned between the rows and coupled to the suction and irrigation conduits. Suction and irrigation tubes are coupled to the suction and irrigation conduits. The control unit has an irrigation outlet coupled to the irrigation tube and an irrigation pump, and a supply reservoir coupled to the irrigation pump. The supply reservoir contains a dental hygiene solution that is pumped from the supply reservoir through the irrigation outlet into the irrigation tube. The irrigation tube transmits the solution to the irrigation conduit and then to the irrigation port, where it is expelled. A suction inlet is coupled to the suction tube, and a suction pump is coupled to the suction inlet. A waste reservoir is coupled to the suction pump, which suctions the solution into the suction port to the suction tube, which transmits the solution to the suction inlet. The suction pump draws the solution from the suction inlet and expels the solution into the waste reservoir. The solution is an aqueous solution of sodium fluoride, from 0.5 to 1.0 milligrams per fluid ounce; and ascorbic acid from 350 to 425 times, bioflavinoids from 3 to 4.5 times, calcium ascorbate from 19 to 20 times, magnesium ascorbate from 9 to 10.5 times, and potassium ascorbate from 19 to 20 times the sodium fluoride concentration.
