A surgical table for supporting a patient over a floor and including a base assembly, a support column assembly and a patient support structure. The base assembly supported on the floor and including a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and a member extending along a base longitudinal axis between the first and second ends. The support column assembly moveably coupled with the base assembly and configured to translate between the first and second ends of the base assembly along the member extending therebetween, the support column assembly being the only support column assembly coupled with the base assembly. The patient support structure including a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and a longitudinal axis extending between the first and second ends, the second end of the patient support structure supported off of the support column assembly in a cantilevered fashion.

Single and dual column patient positioning support structure

A patient support apparatus for supporting a patient in a prone position during a surgical procedure is provided, including an open fixed frame suspended above a floor and a pair of spaced opposed radially sliding joints cooperating with the frame, each joint including a virtual pivot point and an arc of motion spaced from the virtual pivot point, the joints being movable along the arc providing a pivot ship mechanism for a pair of pelvic pads attached to the joints. A base for supporting and suspending a patient support structure above the floor, for supporting a patient during a surgical procedure, the base including a pair of spaced opposed vertical translation subassemblies reversibly attachable to a patient support structure, a cross-bar, and a rotation subassembly having two degrees of rotational freedom; wherein a location of each vertical translation subassembly is substantially constant during operation of the patient support structure.

Patient positioning support apparatus with fail-safe connector attachment mechanism

A surgical table for prone and lateral positioning of a patient, where the table includes a base and a patient support structure. The base may include a head and a foot end support structure. The patient support structure may include an upper body support structure cantilevered off of the head end support structure at a first end and a lower body support structure cantilevered off of the foot end support structure at a second end. The upper body support structure may include a chest pad. The lower body support structure may include a lower body translation and rotation structure and at least one pelvic pad supported thereon.

Each upright arm includes a planar top surface between an upper outer surface and an arcuate top inner edge, a horizontally-extending tool engagement groove below the upper outer surface, and an inner concave surface extending downward from the arcuate top inner edge. The tool engagement groove includes a downwardly-facing upper groove surface, an outwardly-facing inner groove surface, and an opposed upwardly-facing lower groove surface extending outwardly to an outer arm surface having a width greater than the width of the upper outer surface. The bone anchor system also includes tooling with a receiver attachment portion having a downwardly-opening recess with an inner convex surface that is closely receivable with the inner concave surface, and an inwardly-directed protrusion that is closely receivable within the horizontally-extending tool engagement groove.

The suction tube may communicate with the container to deposit waste fluid from a surgical site in the container. The interior surface may extend along a ramped path toward the drain opening. The lid assembly may include a lid ring and a lid capable of engaging each other with a twist lock mechanism. A surgical table comprising a base and a patient support supported between opposed ends of the base, each opposed end including a pitch/roll assembly. The base is configured such that the patient support can be rolled and pitched relative to the opposed ends via the pitch/roll assemblies such that the roll axis of each pitch/roll assembly remains coaxial regardless of how the patient support is pitched or rolled relative to the base. The patient support includes an outer frame and an inner frame supported on, and displaceable relative to, the outer frame. The inner frame is further articulating about, and relative to, itself. The outer frame is rigid in that it does not change configurations.

A patient support apparatus for supporting a patient in a prone position during a surgical procedure is provided, including an open patient support frame suspended above a floor and a base for supporting and suspending a the frame during a surgical procedure, the base including a pair of spaced vertically translatable subassemblies reversibly attachable to the frame by a pair of fail-safe rotatable connector attachment mechanisms to prevent inadvertent uncoupling of a first and second outer end of the frame from the base structure.

The present invention relates to improved personal flotation devices and their methods of use. Advantageously, the devices and methods of the invention eliminate the need for a pyrotechnical firing mechanism, and compared to current devices, are less apt to be spontaneously activated by deterioration that is caused by storage in a humid environment or the passage of time. Instead, the devices and methods of use of the present invention incorporate electronic circuitry to activate automatic operation.
