A row unit for a seeding machine includes a ground view sensor coupled to the frame. The ground view sensor is operable to sense the furrow and generate depth signals corresponding to actual sensed depth of the furrow. The row unit also includes a controller configured to receive the signals, and a downforce adjustment mechanism coupled to the frame and to the controller. The controller is configured to activate the downforce adjustment mechanism to adjust a downforce on the frame based on the signals received by the controller.

An equipment control system detects a physical position of a first vehicle, carrying a material to deliver, relative to a second vehicle. A physical position of a conveyor is controlled, relative to an outlet opening defined on the first vehicle and an inlet opening defined on the second vehicle. The material is then illustratively automatically conveyed from the first vehicle to the second vehicle.

System and method for consistent depth seeding to moisture

A product distribution apparatus, shown in the form of an agricultural air seeder is disclosed having sensors to measure the mass flow through the distribution system, sensors to weigh the tank and the product therein, and sensors to measure the quantity of product in the tank. The sensors are used to measure the change in the quantity of product in the tank during a calibration process where the apparatus is operated over an area and the number of rotations of the meter are recorded. The data is then used to determine a mass flow rate per revolution of the meter. A monitoring method is also disclosed in which an 'area to empty' and 'product needed' to complete a field or task is displayed to the operator.

A control system and method of operation of a product distribution apparatus or machine that uses map based information to disengage the dynamic down force control for certain designated areas of the field. These areas can be roadways or waterways that are not planted with seed but through which the machine does operate. The control system disengages the down force dynamic control when the designated areas are reached and leaves the down force applied by the actuator at the magnitude immediately prior to entering the area or at some other desired level. This magnitude of down force will typically be much closer to the magnitude needed when the roadway, waterway or other designated area has been crossed.

Control system and method of operating a product distribution machine

The invention is directed to an integral coupling arrangement for coupling a trailing cart to a transverse toolbar. The cart is provided with two draft links extending forwardly from the cart that are pivotally coupled to the toolbar. A central hitch also extends forwardly from the cart and is coupled to the toolbar by a floating link. Pushing and pulling forces are applied through the draft links only. The central hitch carries the vertical weight applied by the cart.

The present invention is an air separation tube for an agricultural planter. The air separation tube comprises a hollow tube having an inlet and outlet that is mounted to the side wall of a mini-hopper. The tube is provided with a downwardly curving bend having a screen through which air is allowed to pass. The screen prevents the seed carried by the air stream from leaving the tube. The outlet of the tube is located above the seed puddle of the seed meter which is coupled to the mini-hopper.
