A plain bearing which may have superior operational characteristics, such as the ability to work in high temperature environments with aluminum housings, or which may have the ability to support an axial load, or which may have an outer ring formed entirely of polymer or lubricant impregnated polymer, and/or components thereof.

Plain bearing and/or systems incorporating such bearings

A cage of a rolling bearing, the cage comprising: an annular heel centered on a central axis and having a constant radial thickness measured radially to the central axis; an axial portion extending from the heel substantially parallel to the central axis; and pockets delimited by the heel and the axial portion for receiving rolling elements. The axial portion has an axial length being greater than half the inner diameter of the pockets and an outside diameter being lesser than the outside diameter of the heel and which comprises between a first value equal to the pitch circle diameter of the cage minus half the radial thickness of the heel and a second value equal to the pitch circle diameter of the cage plus half the radial thickness of the heel. The pockets are spaced around the central axis having angular spacings being at least partly different from one another.

A wheel bearing useful for automobiles includes an axle shaft and an axle tube around the shaft, inner and outer bearing races defined respectively at the outer periphery of the shaft and the inner periphery of the tube. A circumferential row of balls and a circumferential set of rollers disposed axially apart between the inner and outer bearing races to form a ball bearing and a roller bearing, in parallel, for supporting the axle shaft within the axle tube.

Wheel end support bearing

A roller for a trolley assembly, which includes at least one track and at least one pin adapted to carry a hanger, includes, in one embodiment thereof, a bearing substantially split to define at least two independent parts of the split bearing. A housing rollingly engages along the at least one track and houses the bearing. A bushing is housed within the housing, carries the pin, supports the bearing about the bushing, and defines at least one shoulder adapted to substantially positively abuttingly engage the at least two parts of the bearing to substantially prevent rotation of the bearing about the bushing during rolling of the housing along the at least one track.

Roller for trolley assembly

Idle roller assembly suitable for use in trough type belt conveyors is provided having an elongate shaft and spaced apart first and second roller bearing assemblies, each having mounted thereabout an annular hub. A cylindrical tubular roller is mounted to and spans between the spaced apart hubs forming a conveyor support surface. One of the roller bearings affixed to the shaft in a fixed axial position while the other bearing outer race is capable of moving axially sufficiently to accommodate thermal expansion of the cylindrical tubular roller during use. Seals are provided, outboard of each of the hub members between the hub and the adjacent shaft to isolate the bearings from the environment.
