Race car settings (e.g., Formula 1 engine mix settings) are developed for particular racing goals such as faster lap time, better acceleration, less vehicle wear, etc., using pattern templates that are derived from historical racing scenarios. The historical scenarios provide data on racing settings, racing results, and racing conditions such as squad information, equipment information, and environmental information. A cognitive (deep question answering) system can select an initial pattern template based on current racing conditions, and present suggested vehicle settings to the user (driver) using the initial pattern template. The driver can select from different candidate values for various factors, which may lead to the presentation of additional suggestions or the use of additional pattern templates. The final settings map is created based on the employed pattern templates and the driver selections.

A wiremap projector apparatus for projecting moving three-dimensional images within a three-dimensional viewing space. The wiremap projector apparatus includes an array of wires disposed within a three-dimensional viewing space defined between a first and second sheet. A digital projector is positioned with respect to said array of wires such that the projector projects multiple lighted pixel lines onto the array of wires to display a moving three-dimensional image within the three-dimensional viewing space. A position control actuator includes an actuating force means for moving the one or more wires, and a position controller generates and sends a position control signal to the position control actuator. The position controller generates the position control signal from image data processed by the projector to project multiple lighted pixel lines onto the array of wires to display a moving three-dimensional image within the three-dimensional viewing space.

System and method for improved 3-D rendering in 3-D rendering volume

A system and method for generating high-function browser widgets with full addressability are provided. With the system and method, custom JSP tags are utilized that generate JavaScript objects to provide the high-function browser widgets. The JavaScript objects, in turn, output HTML for use by a client side Web browser. These JavaScript objects have instance-level functions or actions that are encapsulated in the widget as well as a complete client-side model representation of the data also encapsulated in the widget object. These objects and actions are fully addressable by the developer via a getWidgetByID method on a global utility object. As a result, higher-level features and full inter-widget communication are achievable using the custom JSP tags of the present invention.

System and method for generating high-function browser widgets with full addressability

A power strip for use in high definition audio and video systems employing a device having a digital switching source is disclosed. A slipping linkage is utilized to produce multiple oscillations of a shaft member during the continuous downward motion of the drum pedal. The drum mallet is attached to the oscillatory shaft and therefore produces a number of beats for each foot pedal depression.
