A sensor which uses a plurality of partial fingerprint readers (imagers), and various computational algorithms, to detect changes in fingerprint images as a function of finger movement. The sensor can provide both finger motion information and fingerprint images. The sensor uses multiple partial fingerprint readers, arranged in different directions on a surface, to detect finger motion in two dimensions. The sensor can also detect the relative speed and direction of finger movement. Some sensor embodiments use deep finger penetrating radio frequency (RF) based circuits, which can be inexpensively printed or formed on the surface of robust and flexible dielectric materials such as Kapton tape. The sensor also has textured surfaces to help guide the user. The sensor both small and robust, and is well suited for control applications for low-cost mass market microprocessor controlled devices such as cell phones, MP3 players, laptop computers, and other devices.

Unitized ergonomic two-dimensional fingerprint motion tracking device and method

A unitized smart card device with a partial fingerprint sensor, ergonomic guides and a processor is disclosed. The smart card contains secure memory, battery, and a processor to run the fingerprint sensor. The ergonomic guides help insure that the users finger properly swipes the fingerprint sensor. The smart card be used on a backwards compatible 'dumb credit card' basis, or it may dock with an external smart card docking station. This docking station may act to facilitate communication between the smart card's fingerprint sensor and its onboard secure memory; and external computerized devices. The docking station itself may be configured with slots or other openings to allow users to access the smart card's fingerprint sensor while the smart card is docked with the docking station. The docking station itself may contain ergonomic guides to help ensure that the smart card's fingerprint sensor is used (swiped) in a correct manner.

Disclosed is an eye protection device for the enclosure of eyeglasses therein, such device having a resilient cushion member which extends rearwardly therefrom to form an upper portion and a lower portion and first and second sides, such device having lens openings provided in the cushion member, with the wearer's eyeglasses fitting within grooves and a bridge slot formed within such cushion member, such device having hard side members attached to the first and second sides of the cushion member, and with such resilient cushion member's upper and lower portions and first and second sides contacting the wearer's face.

Eye protection device

A hanger for engagement on a support member having a front face and first and second parallel sides, such hanger having a load-bearing portion and a support member engagement portion, such support member engagement portion formed with a fulcrum and arm members attached to hook members having sharpened ends which hanger, when engaged on the support member with the fulcrum against the front face of the support member, causes the support member engagement portion when a load is placed on the load-bearing portion to rotate on the fulcrum, exerting leverage to embed the sharpened ends into the first and second parallel sides of the support member.

An eye protection device in one embodiment composed of a foam rubber-like member having a front portion, first and second side portions, and first and second apertures therein for receipt of the lenses and frame of a pair of eyeglasses with the side earpieces of the pair of eyeglasses being passed through the first and second apertures in the first and second side portions. When worn, the foam rubber-like member is compressed against the wearer's face to create a seal between the device and the user's face. The foam rubber-like member can be adhered in a second embodiment to the rear of an outer shell having a front portion, first and second side portions, and first and second apertures defined in the front portion which first and second apertures of the outer shell are in alignment, respectively, with the first and second apertures in the foam rubber-like member; and the first and second side portions of the insert member are in alignment, respectively, with the first and second side portions of the foam rubber-like member to form a sturdy, eye protection device.
