A device comprising a syringe comprising a plunger and a barrel having a longitudinal axis and a sample collection volume. The device further comprises a needle hub including an attachment device for connection with the syringe, and a syringe support connected to the needle hub. A needle is connected to the needle hub, the needle having a lumen. An internal needle is at least partially positioned within the lumen of the needle. The device further includes a motor that rotationally moves the internal needle within the needle. The needle has a first opening formed in a side of the needle, and the internal needle has a second opening formed in a side of the internal needle; and wherein material is allowed to enter when the second opening is aligned with the first opening, and wherein the material is cut when the second opening rotates past the first opening.

Devices, systems, and methods for biological sample collection

A magneto-inductive DC magnetometer is provided that is operable to output fluxgate quality measurements in a low mass, volume, power and cost package. The magnetometer enables constellation-class missions not only due to its low-resource requirements, but also due to its potential for commercial integrated circuit fabrication. In addition, the magnetometer will be part of a ground-based Space Weather Underground Citizen Science instrument package that enables dense arrays of space weather-relevant observations at mid-latitudes. The magneto-inductive operating principle is based on a simple resistance-inductor (RL) circuit and involves measurement of the time it takes to charge and discharge the inductor between an upper and lower threshold by means of a Schmitt trigger oscillator. This time is proportional to the inductance that in turn is proportional to the field strength.

Space weather monitor system

A magnetic beacon and inertial sensor system for precise indoor localization is provided using active magnetic beacons, magnetometers and inertial measurement units. The system is designed to work in environments that are not conducive to radio frequency (RF) (such as GPS, cell, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth) or optical techniques (CCTV, IR), such as inside heavy industrial plant settings, underground or underwater.

Magnetic beacon and inertial sensor localization technology

Provided is a lawn mower for forming images. The lawn mower includes: an image input unit receiving an image to be formed in a lawn area; a position detection unit detecting position information of the lawn mower on a movement path of the lawn mower; a lawn mowing unit processing a lawn according to any one of a plurality of lawn processing patterns which corresponds to each position on the movement path while the lawn mower moves along the movement path; and a control unit analyzing the image received from the image input unit, determining a lawn processing pattern, which corresponds to the position information detected by the position detection unit, to express the image in the lawn area and controlling the lawn mowing unit according to the determined lawn processing pattern and independently of the movement path.
