A computer implemented method and system are provided for verifying authenticity of a medical component endpoint. The method is under control of one or more computer systems configured with specific executable instructions. The method receives, at a local medical equipment (LME) node, a cipher message combination that includes a challenge and a corresponding valid response, the LME node is unable to independently calculate the valid response. The method conveys the challenge, from the LME node, to a medical component endpoint that includes an authentication circuit, receives a candidate response from the component endpoint, where the candidate response is generated by the authentication circuit based on the challenge and determines whether the candidate response matches the valid response from the corresponding cipher message combination. The method further authenticates the component endpoint based on whether the candidate and valid responses match.

Method for authenticating devices in a medical network

A wireless sensing device and a method for operating a wireless sensing device are described herein. The wireless sensing device includes a battery power supply and a processor that transmits detected physiological parameters from the sensing device to a monitoring device. when the battery level within the sensing device falls below a minimum threshold, the processor of the sensing device reserves a portion of the battery charge to power an indicator to increase the noticeability of the sensing device. The sensing device can also include an RFID tag that is written to by the processor when the state of charge on the battery falls below the minimum threshold. The RFID tag allows RFID detectors to sense the presence of the sensing device without requiring additional battery power.

Method of increasing sensing device noticeability upon low battery level

In electrosensory vibration technology, a potential difference is formed between a touched surface of a device and a body member of a user, creating an attractive force between the two. To meet industry safety standards, the capability of a corresponding voltage source to drive electrical current may be kept low, and the maximum slew rate with such a voltage source would be accordingly limited. However, such a limit on the slew rate may result in softer haptic effects or lower repetition rates of haptic effects, and the ability of such a device to express a wide range of haptic effects may be reduced compared to a device capable of driving the external load with the maximum current allowed by applicable standards. As a technical means to solve this technical problem, it may be helpful to use a powerful voltage source with a controller to control the outgoing current.

The control comprises the following steps: 1) determining (-to-) a billing address for the content service by means of the proxy (CBP); 2) under the control of the content billing proxy, providing (-) a content service corresponding to a service request from the content server (CS) to the subscriber terminal (MS); and 3) generating (-) billing information (CDR) related to the content service.
