Described is a power connection device of an electric battery including a cage, a busbar and a contact pad. The cage is made from a first material chosen for its mechanical properties and rigidity. The busbar and the pad are made from a second material chosen for its electrical conduction properties. The cage also comprises spring means designed to clamp at least a portion of a tab, inserted into the cage, against the pad. A connection assembly comprising the power connection device and a tab electrically connected to a battery cell is also described.

The invention relates to an electrical connector (), adapted to be mated with a corresponding counter connector () in a mating direction (). The electrical connector () comprises at least one female contact terminal () extending at least partially perpendicular to the mating direction () in an extension direction (). The female contact terminal () comprises a distal portion () with two flexible spring arms () extending in extension direction (). An engagement portion () is formed between the flexible spring arms () and is adapted to engage a corresponding male terminal () of the counter connector (). The electrical connector () further comprises a connector housing () comprising at least one terminal cavity (), adapted to house the female contact terminal (). The terminal cavity () is adapted to essentially prevent movement of the female contact terminal () parallel to both, the mating direction () and the extension direction ().

Flat electrical connector for supplemental restraint system

A method of attaching an electrical contact to a cable is presented herein. The electrical contact is crimped to the cable, at different heights, in such a way as to obtain a mechanical retention portion and an electrical conduction portion. The difference between the final crimping heights of the mechanical retention portion and the electrical conduction portion is between 0.5 and 0.6 mm. A tool for implementing this method is also described herein.
