A method for in-line preparation of liquid for an extracorporeal blood treatment apparatus that makes provision for placing a filter in correspondence with each of two successive filtration stations, for carrying out a liquid preparation cycle, for removing the filter, which operates in correspondence with a first filtration station, for placing in correspondence with the first filtration station the filter that operated in correspondence with the second filtration station, for placing a new filter in correspondence with a second filtration station and for launching a new sterile liquid preparation cycle. The invention also provides a device for implementing the described method and an apparatus for extracorporeal blood treatment, which incorporates this device.

A module for extracorporeal purification of a biological fluid includes at least one support or wall defining a compartment which is delimited by an ionic functionalized support or wall, the surface of which is bonded by ionic bonds to a first molecule or macromolecule which exhibits free amine groups to which are covalently bonded a second molecule or macromolecule which exhibits free carboxylic groups which can directly or indirectly form amide, ester or thioester bonds. The invention also includes methods of producing such module.

Means for the biological purification of a biological fluid

A method for disinfection of the hydraulic circuit of a dialysis machine, comprising an inlet (E) for connection to an external water source and a plurality of open lines (1, 2, 4a, 4b, 26) intended to be connected, in an operational configuration of the machine, to different consumable accessories, comprises the steps of: closing the open lines on the hydraulic circuit in such a way as to form a closed network of lines; bringing a reservoir (40) containing a concentrated disinfection liquid into communication with the hydraulic circuit, in proximity to the inlet; instigating a proportional flow of water and of concentrated disinfection liquid in the hydraulic circuit in such a way as to produce a first liquid having a bactericidal action; interrupting the flow of water and of concentrated disinfection liquid when the hydraulic circuit is filled with bactericidal liquid, the initial volume of concentrated disinfection liquid in the reservoir being chosen such that at the end of the filling of the hydraulic circuit, a residual volume remains in the reservoir (40); adding a volume of water to the residual volume in the reservoir (40) in order to produce a second liquid; emptying the hydraulic circuit of the bactericidal liquid; instigating simultaneously a proportional flow of water and of the second liquid in the hydraulic circuit in such a way as to produce a third liquid having a bacteriostatic action and capable of remaining in the hydraulic circuit for at least twelve hours without causing corrosion there; filling the hydraulic circuit with bacteriostatic liquid.

Method of disinfection for a dialysis machine

A device and method for injecting a sterile pyrogen free fluid uses a main filter having first and second compartments separated by a porous membrane. The first compartment has an inlet connected to a source of fluid to be filtered, and the second compartment has an outlet connected to an injection line. A pump is provided for circulating the fluid through the main filter and into the injection line. A secondary filter is provided downstream of the main filter and, in combination with pressure sensors, is used to determine if a rupture exists in the main filter.
