Disclosed embodiments provide a virtual topology in response to an allocation request. The virtual topology is a synchronized subgraph of the physical topology. The synchronized subgraph virtual topology mirrors the physical topology in terms of tree structure. However, merely sharing the physical topology with users/customers is not feasible, as it may reveal additional infrastructure details such as MAC addresses, IP addresses, and the like, that can compromise security and/or jeopardize multi-tenant operations. Disclosed embodiments create virtual topology structures with obfuscated node data, so that important data such as physical IP addresses and/or MAC addresses are hidden from the end-users. Thus, disclosed embodiments provide the benefits of performance enhancement that comes from sharing the topology without the downside of compromising security by revealing physical topology details.

Resource topology generation for computer systems

Systems, computer-implemented methods, and computer program products to facilitate rotated polarization detection and adjustment are provided. According to an embodiment, a system can comprise a memory that stores computer executable components and a processor that executes the computer executable components stored in the memory. The computer executable components can comprise an optical component that can comprise a polarization monitor component that can detect a rotated polarization state of an optical signal. The computer executable components can further comprise a second optical component that can comprise a polarization controller component that can control a rotation polarization state of the second optical component. The computer executable components can further comprise a feedback loop component that can couple the polarization monitor component to the polarization controller component.

Polarization-insensitive optical link

Methods and systems for wireless packet switching include determining a schedule for transceivers in an enclosure. The schedule specifies which of the transceivers will act as a transmitter and which will act as a receiver. A beamforming direction for transmitting data from each transmitter to each corresponding receiver is determined. It is determined that an angle of the beamforming direction for at least one transmitter is lower than a minimum angle. Data is transmitted from a transmitter to the corresponding receiver by a wired connection, responsive to the determination that the angle of the beamforming direction is lower than a minimum angle.

Wireless cross-connect switch

A wireless packet switch and methods for controlling the same include a multiple port controllers, each in communication with a respective wireless transceiver, configured to analyze data streams to and from the respective wireless transceiver; a cross-connect switch in communication with all of the port controllers, configured to provide connections between respective port controllers; an arbiter, in communication with all of the port controllers and with the cross-connect switch, configured to control the cross-connect switch, such that the cross-connect switch connects data streams of the port controllers in accordance with packet destination information and scheduling information from the port controllers.

Wireless packet switches and enclosures include multiple port controllers, each in communication with a respective wireless transceiver located on an outer surface of a spherical shell. Each port controller is configured to analyze data streams to and from the respective wireless transceiver. Each wireless transceiver is configured to establish beamforming connections with a client device in a beamforming direction pointed away from the spherical shell. A cross-connect switch is in communication with all of the port controllers, configured to provide connections between respective port controllers. An arbiter is in communication with all of the port controllers and with the cross-connect switch and is configured to control the cross-connect switch, such that the cross-connect switch connects data streams of the port controllers in accordance with packet destination information and scheduling information from the port controllers.

Methods and systems for wireless packet switching include determining a schedule for a plurality of transceivers in an enclosure. The schedule specifies which of the plurality of transceivers will act as a transmitter and which will act as a receiver. Data is transmitted from each transmitter to a corresponding receiver with a configured beamforming direction. Data is transmitted from a transmitter to a corresponding receiver by a wired connection if an angle of the beamforming direction is lower than a minimum angle.

A communication system includes first and second devices. The first device includes a first transmitter and a first receiver. The first transmitter transmits one data of a first type using one or more first channels over a first communication link to the second device. The first receiver receives one data of a second type, from the second device, using one or more second channels over the first communication link. The second device includes a second transmitter and a second receiver. The second receiver receives the one data of the first type using the one or more first channels over the first communication link, and to generate the one data of the second type based on the one data of the first type. The second transmitter transmits the one data of the second type using one or more second channels over the first communication link to the first device.

A method for transmitting data between a first device and a second device over a communication link includes transmitting, by the first device, data of a first type using one or more first channels, receiving, by the second device, the data of the first type from the first device using the one or more first channels, generating, by the second device, data of a second type based on the data of the first type, and transmitting, by the second device, the generated data of the second type using one or more second channels. The data of the first type and the data of the second type are different. The one or more second channels are channels dedicated to transmit the data of the second type.

Aspects of the invention are directed to a method for forming an optical waveguide structure. Initially, a base film stack is received with an optical waveguide feature covered by a lower dielectric layer. An etch stop feature is then formed on the lower dielectric layer, and an upper dielectric layer is formed over the etch stop feature. Subsequently, a trench is patterned in the upper dielectric layer and the etch stop feature at least in part by utilizing the etch stop feature as an etch stop. Lastly, a waveguide coupler feature is formed in the trench, at least a portion of the waveguide coupler feature having a refractive index higher than the lower dielectric layer and the upper dielectric layer. The waveguide coupler feature is positioned over at least a portion of the optical waveguide feature but is separated from the optical waveguide feature by a portion of the lower dielectric layer.

A system comprises a first optical component comprising at least one waveguide and at least one self-alignment feature; and a second optical component comprising at least another waveguide and at least another self-alignment feature; wherein the self-alignment feature of the second optical component engage to assist in optically-coupling the waveguide of the first optical component and the waveguide of the second optical component when the first optical component has a manufacturing tolerance in a given geometric dimension and is mounted in the second optical component.
