The invention relates to a process for the catalytic hydrotreating of a feed of oil origin, of diesel fuel type, in at least one fixed-bed hydrotreating reactor, for manufacturing diesel fuel, characterized in that incorporated into said feed are vegetable oils and/or animal fats up to a level of around 30% by weight, the mixture of said feed and vegetable oils and/or animal fats being introduced into the reactor operating in a single pass, without recycling liquid effluent at the top of the reactor. It also relates to a hydrotreating reactor for implementing said process, and to a corresponding hydrorefining unit.

The invention relates to a process for the catalytic hydrotreating of a feedstock of petroleum origin of diesel fuel type and of a feedstock of biological origin based on vegetable oils and/or animal fats in a stationary bed catalytic hydrotreating unit, the said process being characterized in that the feedstock of petroleum origin is introduced into the said reactor upstream of the feedstock of biological origin. It also relates to a catalytic hydrotreating unit for the implementation of the said process and to a corresponding hydrorefining unit.

A method of isomerizing n-paraffins into isoparaffins in a cut of hydrocarbons with four carbon atoms or of hydrocarbons with five and/or six carbon atoms. The cut being processed enters at least one reactor containing a stationary catalyst bed. The charge travels over the bed. Either the rate of isomerization in the effluents or a parameter directly dependent thereon (such as the octane number) is preferably continuously measured. Some of the upstream catalyst, specifically between 1/3 and 2/3, is replaced with fresh catalyst once that rate has decreased 10 to 30% below a prescribed point. The charge is redirected through the reactor once the catalyst has been replaced.

Method of isomerizing N-paraffins into isoparaffins

The invention relates to a hydrodemetallization process and catalyst, of a sulfur and organometallic containing hydrocarbon feedstock which consists in contacting the feedstock under the usual hydrotreating conditions with a catalyst comprising a refractory mineral carrier composed essentially of a mesoporous alumina with defined characteristics, said catalyst having previously been sulfurized. The process is characterized in that the catalyst contains, in addition to the carrier, in free or combined form, from 0.01 to 0.7 weight percent, based on the total weight of the catalyst, and calculated as if in elemental form, of at least one metal selected from groups Vb, VIb, VIIb and VIII of the periodic table of the elements, so as to give optimum initial demetallizing activity.
