A hydrocarbon conversion catalyst composition which comprises ZSM-48 and/or EU-2 zeolite particles and refractory oxide binder essentially free of alumina in which the average aluminium concentration of the ZSM-48 and/or EU-2 zeolite particles is at least 1.3 times the aluminium concentration at the surface of the particles, processes for preparing such catalyst compositions and processes for converting hydrocarbon feedstock with the help of such compositions.

Hydrocarbon conversion catalyst composition

A hydrocarbon conversion catalyst composition which comprises dealuminated ZSM-48 and/or EU-2 zeolite and a refractory oxide binder essentially free of alumina, processes for preparing such composition and processes for converting hydrocarbon feedstock with the help of such compositions.

The invention provides a process for hydrotreating and dewaxing a hydrocarbon feedstock, comprising the steps of: (a) hydrotreating the feedstock under hydrotreating conditions in a first reaction zone to obtain a first stage hydrotreated effluent; and (b) introducing at least part of the first stage hydrotreated effluent into a second reaction zone in which the first stage hydrotreated effluent is subjected to a series of alternating dewaxing steps and hydrotreating steps.

Hydrotreating and dewaxing process

The invention provides a process for preparing a hydrowax comprising the steps of: (a) providing a hydrocarbonaceous feedstock which contains more than 4% by weight of hydrocarbons boiling in the range of from 550 to 800&#xb0; C.; (b) hydrotreating the hydrocarbonaceous feedstock with a hydrotreating catalyst in the presence of a hydrogen-containing gas under hydrotreating conditions to obtain a hydrotreated product; (c) hydrocracking at least part of the hydrotreated product as obtained in step (b) with a hydrocracking catalyst in the presence of a hydrogen-containing gas under hydrocracking conditions to obtain a hydrocracked product, which hydrocracking catalyst contains a zeolitic component which is present in an amount of at least 14 wt %, based on the total weight of the hydrocracking catalyst, and wherein the volume ratio of the hydrotreating catalyst as used in step (b) and the hydrocracking catalyst is more than 1; and (d) recovering from the hydrocracked product as obtained in step (c) the hydrowax.

Process for preparing a hydrowax

Process to prepare simultaneously two or more base oil grades and middle distillates from a mineral crude derived feed, in particular a de-asphalted oil or a vacuum distillate feed or their mixtures, by performing the following steps: (a) hydrocracking the mineral crude derived feed, thereby obtaining an effluent; (b) distillation of the effluent as obtained in step (a) into one or more middle distillates and a full range residue boiling substantially above 340&#xb0; C., (c) catalytically dewaxing the full range residue by contacting the residue with a dewaxing catalyst comprising a zeolite of the MTW type and a Group VIII metal, thereby obtaining a dewaxed oil; (d) isolating by means of distillation two or more base oil grades from the dewaxed oil obtained in step (c); and (e) isolating a dewaxed gas oil from the dewaxed-oil obtained in step (c); wherein the dewaxed oil as obtained in step (c) comprises between 10 and 40 wt % of a dewaxed heavy gas oil boiling for more than 70 wt % between 370 and 400&#xb0; C.

Process to continuously prepare two or more base oil grades and middle distillates

The invention provides a zeolite of the faujasite structure which has a unit cell size in the range of from 24.40 to 24.50 &#x212b;; a bulk silica to alumina ratio (SAR) in the range of from 5 to 10; and an alkali metal content of less than 0.15 wt %. Such zeolites have been found to have a very useful naphtha selectivity in hydrocracking, particularly a selectivity to heavy naphtha. A preparation process for the zeolite, hydrocracking catalyst composition comprising the zeolite and its use in hydrocracking are also provided.

Faujasite zeolite, its preparation and use in hydrocracking

The invention relates to a process to prepare a heavy and a light lubricating base oil from a partly isomerized Fischer-Tropsch derived feedstock, the feedstock having an initial boiling point of below 400&#xb0; C. and a final boiling point of above 600&#xb0; C. by (a) separating the fraction via distillation into a light base oil precursor fraction and a heavy base oil precursor fraction; (b) reducing the pour point of each separate base oil precursor fraction via dewaxing; and, (c) isolating the desired base oil products from the dewaxed oil fractions as obtained in step (b).

Process for the catalytic dewaxing of a hydrocarbon oil feed including waxy molecules and more than 500 ppmw of sulphur or sulphur containing compounds by contacting the oil feed under catalytic dewaxing conditions with a catalyst composition comprising at least a hydrogenation component, dealuminated aluminosilicate zeolite crystallites and a low acidity refractory oxide binder material which is essentially free of alumina.

Catalytic dewaxing process

The invention relates to a process for the catalytic dewaxing of a hydrocarbon feed containing waxy molecules by contacting the hydrocarbon feed under catalytic dewaxing conditions with a catalyst composition having metallosilicate crystallites, a binder and a hydrogenation component, wherein the weight ratio of the metallosilicate crystallites and the binder is between 5:95 and 35:65. The invention also relates to a catalyst composition having at least a low acidity refractory oxide binder, which binder is essentially free of aluminum, metallosilicate crystallites and a hydrogenation component, wherein the weight ratio of the metallosilicate crystallites and the binder is between 5:95 and 35:65.
