A solar cell assembly comprises a first assembly of at least one photovoltaic cell and a protective glass positioned on the active face of the first assembly, the area of the protective glass covering more than the entirety of the active face of the first assembly, and comprises a second assembly of at least one portion of the protective glass extending from the active face of the first assembly, the second assembly comprises an optically reflective surface.

Solar cell assembly

A solar generator comprises a flexible support, an array of solar cells, electrical transfer conductors, blocking diodes, the solar cells being formed along different transverse strings, the solar cells situated in a same string being electrically connected in series, each string comprising two opposite ends, respectively of positive polarity and of negative polarity. The positive polarity end of each string of solar cells is individually connected to a respective blocking diode via an electrical transfer conductor dedicated to the string, the electrical transfer conductors dedicated to the different strings being independent of one another, the blocking diodes being located at the proximal end of the solar generator, outside of the array of solar cells.

The invention concerns concentration solar batteries which are protected against heating caused by the fraction of solar radiation which does not enable excitation of the photovoltaic cells () constituting said generator. It consists in covering the concentrator () which reflects the solar flux () towards the photovoltaic cells () with a filter () which enables the useless part of the radiation to be eliminated. It consists in using for that purpose either an absorbent material or an oblique or Fresnel stepped arrangement of the outer surface () of said transparent layer enabling said useless part to be reflected outside the photovoltaic cells ().

Concentration solar battery protected against heating

A deployment system for spatial appendages, such as, for example, solar generators, comprises at least one two-phase deployment articulation line, furnished with two rotation spindles. The deployment system comprises a synchronization mechanism for the two rotation spindles so that when the driving spindle rotates during a first deployment phase, the driven spindle does not rotate, and then, when the driving spindle rotates during the second deployment phase, the driven spindle rotates in a manner synchronized with the driving spindle.
