An installation for coating a longitudinally-running, strip-shaped metal product includes a tank containing a coating in liquid form, into which the metal product is dipped, a wiping system disposed at a vertical outlet of the product from the tank and intended to wipe each face of the strip-shaped product, at least one ancillary device disposed at an outlet of the product from the wiping system in a manner facing one of the faces of the product, and a holding device holding the wiping system and the ancillary device. The holding device includes a securing unit forming a common lateral support for the wiping system and each ancillary device by using multiple securing points.

An electric power supply network includes at least one connection point with an upstream electrical network delivering useful power to at least one input of a first electric power supply network of an electrically powered transport system, such as trolley buses, trams, metro, train, or other transport, the first electrical network presenting peak power fluctuations as a function of variable energy needs depending on traffic associated with the transport system. The first electrical network includes at least one power output capable of distributing energy, in particular recovered from the transport system and from the upstream electrical network, to at least a second electrical network, enabling energy to be supplied to electrical consumption points. At least one supervision unit monitors distribution of energy from the power output whenever at least the peak power required by the first transport system is below the useful power available upstream.

In a method for the spectral analysis of a metal coating layer deposited on the surface of a steel strip, the strip is moved along an arc of the outer surface of a rotating roller with a cylindrical wall guiding the strip by contact. An ablation laser beam is guided into an internal cavity of the cylindrical wall to be placed in optical incidence under a normal axis on the outer surface of the roller on a targeted contact point of the strip and the roller. The beam passes through the wall via a wall opening, which is transparent to the beam. A plasma spectral emission distribution from the laser ablation to the contact point is collected by optical feedback in the direction of the normal axis on the outer surface of the roller and through the opening in order to be guided towards a spectral measurement unit. The normal axis on the outer surface for the optical incidence and feedback is placed in synchronous rotation with the roller.

An installation for the hardened galvanization of a continuously-moving rolled steel strip, includes a coating tank receiving a liquid metal mixture containing, for example, zinc and aluminum to be deposited on the strip which is immersed in the mixture. The liquid mixture is permanently circulated between the coating tank and a preparation device, in which the temperature of the liquid mixture is deliberately lowered in order to reduce an iron solubility threshold and is sufficiently high for initiating fusion of at least one ingot containing a zinc-aluminum Zn&#x2014;Al alloy in a so-called fusion zone of the preparation device, in an amount necessary to compensate for the liquid mixture used for deposition on the strip. The installation includes a loop for circulating the liquid mixture that is thermally optimized.

A method controls time based signals that are outputted from at least two processes of unit. A first signal is converted into a first signal value and indicates over a first time range of a first process with a first defined start time and a defined end time, in which present time is signalized by a spatially extensible and uniformly highlighted portion of the first time range defined between the first start time and the present time. A second signal is converted into a second signal value and indicates over a second time range of a second process with a second defined start time and free of an end time, in which the present time is signalized by a spatially extensible portion of the second time range onto which a variably highlighted and superposed section is overlaid, the section being defined between the second start time and the present time.
