A muffler assembly unit for an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine, especially in a vehicle, includes a muffler () with a muffler housing (). Muffler assembly unit

An exhaust gas muffler, for an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine, includes a muffler housing () with a circumferential wall () elongated in a housing axis (L) direction and with an end wall () at each axial end area (). Two exhaust gas pipe holding openings () are provided in the circumferential wall () with an exhaust gas pipe () fixed to the circumferential wall () in an area of each exhaust gas pipe holding opening () and open towards a housing interior (). The exhaust gas pipe () is preferably closed at one end area () by a closing element (). The exhaust gas pipe () has at least one exhaust gas passage opening () in a length area () extending between the two exhaust gas pipe holding openings ().

Exhaust gas muffler and method for the manufacture thereof

An exhaust gas treatment device, especially for an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine of a vehicle, includes a housing () elongated in a direction of a housing longitudinal axis (L). An exhaust gas treatment unit () is arranged in the housing (). At least one first exhaust gas guiding device () is in flow connection with an axially open axial end area () of the housing (). The first exhaust gas guiding device () provides a first flow path area () extending along an outer side () of the housing () as well as a second flow path area () connecting the first flow path area () with the axially open axial end area () of the housing ().

Exhaust gas treatment device

An injection section () of an exhaust system for an internal combustion engine, with a channel () for guiding an exhaust gas flow (), with an injection port (), laterally on the channel to which a liquid or gas injector () can be connected, and with an injection chamber (), formed in the channel in the area of the injector port. The chamber is defined by a perforated, first flow through partition (), arranged in the channel upstream of the injector port relative to the exhaust gas flow and, and by a perforated, second flow through partition, arranged in the channel downstream of the injector port relative to the exhaust gas flow. Improved mixing and/or evaporation is achieved with the perforation portion of the first partition generating at least two partial exhaust gas flows (), which form two mutually opposite flow swirls ().
