This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to allocating non-continuous resource units (RUs). A device may determine a non-continuous RU allocation for one or more devices in a 80 MHz bandwidth including four 20 MHz channels, the non-continuous RU allocation including disabled tones of a 20 MHz channel of the four 20 MHz channels, and the disabled tones being a subset of tones within the 20 MHz channel. The device may determine a high efficiency wireless frame comprising an indication of the non-continuous RU allocation. The device may send the high efficiency wireless frame to one or more multiple devices.

Enhanced resource allocation for wireless communications

Methods, apparatuses, and computer readable media for communicating elements between multi-link devices are disclosed. Apparatuses of a multi-link device (MLD) are disclosed, where the apparatuses comprise processing circuitry configured to encode a management frame, the management frame comprising a link information field, the link information field indicating a first link of the MLD for which management information is applicable and configure a non-access point (AP) of the MLD or a station (STA) of the MUD to transmit the management frame on a second link of the MLD. The processing circuitry is further configured to decode a second management frame, the second management frame comprising a second link information field, the second link information field indicating a second link of the MLD for which second management information is applicable.

Cross link management frame signaling

The application relates to a preemption mechanism for wireless local area networks (WLANs), and in particular provides a method, including: broadcasting information about a Transmission Opportunity (TXOP) on a wireless channel, wherein the TXOP includes two or more transmission durations and a preemption period exists between any two neighboring transmission durations of the two or more transmission durations; and pausing communicating on the wireless channel during the preemption period to give opportunity for one or more stations (STAs) to preempt the wireless channel to transmit high priority traffic.

This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to multi-link power save indication. A device may establish two or more links with a non-access point (AP) multi-link device (MLD). The device may connect a first AP of the AP MLD to a first station device (STA) of the non-AP MLD using a first link. The device may connect a second AP of the AP MLD to a second STA of the non-AP MLD using a second link. The device may use a link bitmap field included in a frame, wherein the link bitmap field comprises a first bit associated with the first STA and a second bit associated with the second STA. The device may communicate with the non-AP MLD based on the link bitmap.

Method of multi-link power save indication

This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to initial power state. A device may identify a request frame received from a non-AP MLD on a first link of a plurality of links, wherein the non-AP MLD comprises a plurality of station devices (STAs), and wherein the first link is associated with a first STA of the plurality of STAs. The device may cause to send a response frame to the non-AP MLD on the first link to establish the plurality of links between the device and the non-AP MLD. The device may determine, based on the request frame, a power save mode associated with each of the STAs of the non-AP MLD. The device may communicate with the non-AP MLD based on the power save mode.

Apparatus, system and method of communicating a multi-link element from a multi-link device

Provided herein are apparatus and methods for improving transmission efficiency of video content for Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi). An apparatus for a Wi-Fi device comprises a Radio Frequency (RF) interface and processing circuitry coupled with the RF interface. The processing circuitry is to encode a Medium Access Control (MAC) frame, to carry video content to be transmitted to one or more other Wi-Fi devices connected with the Wi-Fi device; encapsulate the MAC frame into a physical (PHY) frame, the PHY frame is to include an additional byte in a high-efficiency signal-A (HE-SIG-A) field, to indicate whether the MAC frame is encoded as an original MAC frame including one Frame Check Sequence (FCS) or a video content specific MAC frame including more than one FCSs; and transmit the PHY frame, via the RF interface, to the one or more other Wi-Fi devices.

Apparatus and method for improving transmission efficiency of video content for Wi-Fi

An extremely high-throughput (EHT) station (STA) may encode a null data packet (NDP) announcement frame for transmission to include a high-efficiency (HE) subfield and a Ranging subfield in a Sounding Dialogue Token field. To identify the NDP announcement frame as an EHT NDP announcement frame (i.e., an EHT variant), the EHT STA may set both the HE subfield and the Ranging subfield in the Sounding Dialogue Token field to a value of one. When operating as an EHT access point (AP), the EHT STA may encode a trigger frame to include a Special User Info Field. The Special User Info Field may be identified by a predetermined value as an STA association identifier (AID) value. The use of the predetermined value as the AID value in the Special User Info Field indicates that the trigger frame is an EHT variant and indicates that the trigger frame is being sent by an EHT AP.

Null data packet (NDP) announcement frame and trigger frame for extremely high-throughput (EHT)

This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to association identification (AID) re-assignment. A device may perform an association with a station multi-link device (STA MLD), wherein the STA MLD comprises one or more logical entities defining separate station devices. The device may assign a first AID to the STA MLD. The device may establish one or more links with the STA MLD. The device may cause to send an indication of an assignment of a second AID to the STA MLD. The device may communicate with the STA MLD using the second AID.

Association identification re-assignment

A Quality-of-Service (QoS) Management AP is configured to support QoS Management features and to perform a QoS Management Protocol. The AP decodes an Enhanced Add Traffic Stream (E-ADDTS) Request QoS Action Frame (E-ADDTS Req) received from a station (STA) to initiate QoS setup for a traffic stream. The STA may be a QoS Management STA configured to support the QoS Management features and perform the QoS Management protocol. The AP may encode, for transmission to the STA in response to the E-ADDTS Req, an E-ADDTS Response QoS Action Frame (E-ADDTS Resp) which includes a status code to indicate whether the QoS setup has been accepted. When the QoS setup is accepted, the E-ADDTS Resp includes a QoS setup ID within a QoS setup ID field in the E-ADDTS Resp that uniquely identifies the QoS setup for the traffic stream.

Extensible enhanced QoS framework for signaling requirements

This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to an extreme high throughput (EHT) signaling structure. A device may establish a communication channel with one or more station devices (STAs). The device may generate an extreme high throughput signal field (EHT-SIG) of a header, wherein the EHT-SIG field comprises information associated with resource allocations (RUs). The device may generate a frame comprising the header. The device may assign a first RU to a first station device. The device may assign a second RU to the first station device, wherein the first RU or the second RU is an aggregation of a 26-tome RU and a neighboring RU. The device may cause to send the frame to the first station device.

Multi-link re-setup and link change

Apparatus, system and method of communicating a multi-link element

This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to traffic indications for multi-link devices (MLDs). A device may generate a first traffic indication map (TIM) with a first bitmap including a first indication that traffic is to be sent by a first access point (AP) device of the MLD to a first non-AP device of a second MLD using a first communication link. The device may generate a second TIM with a second bitmap including a second indication that no traffic is to be sent by a second AP device of the MLD to a second non-AP device of the second MLD using a second communication link. The device may send, using the first communication link, the beacon, the beacon including the first TIM and the second TIM. The device may send, using the first communication link, a data frame to the first non-AP device of the second MLD.

Enhanced traffic indications for multi-link wireless communication devices

A wireless communication device, method and system. The device includes a memory, and a processing circuitry coupled to the memory. The processing circuitry is to: decode at least one signal field portion of a signal field of a Physical Layer Convergence Protocol (PLCP) Data Unit (PPDU) received over a bonded channel, the bonded channel comprising a plurality of subchannels including a punctured subchannel, the signal field portion on at least one unpunctured subchannel of the plurality of subchannels; determine, from the at least one signal field portion, information on a resource allocation for the device, the resource allocation indicating at least one resource unit (RU) used in a data field of the PPDU for the device; and decode a data field portion of the data field of the PPDU, the data field portion received on a part of the punctured subchannel based on the resource allocation.
