A gas sensing device comprises a sensing unit for sensing a target gas, the sensing unit comprising a carbon-based sensing layer which is sensitive to the target gas. The gas sensing device further comprises a controller unit for monitoring an exposure of the sensing layer to the target gas. The controller unit further initializes a recovery sequence for the sensing unit depending on an exposure of the sensing unit to the target gas. Further, the gas sensing device comprises a heating electrode for heating the sensing layer during the recovery sequence.

A gate driver is described that includes a gate signal module configured to output a gate signal of the gate driver for driving a gate terminal of a semiconductor device. The gate driver further includes a test module configured to generate a simulated failure condition at a semiconductor device during a test of a monitoring and protection feature of the gate driver. The gate drier further includes a monitor module configured to output an indication of the simulated failure condition in response to detecting the simulated failure condition at the semiconductor device.

A circuit is described that includes a switch, a switchable clamping element coupled to the switch, and a driver configured to control the switch based at least in part on a driver control signal. The driver is further configured to enable or disable the switchable clamping element. The switchable clamping element is configured to clamp a voltage across the switch when the switchable clamping element is enabled by the driver and when the voltage across the switch or a current at the switch satisfies a threshold for activating the switchable clamping element.

Gate clamping

A driver for a switch includes a primary side having a trigger input and a secondary side comprising an analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The primary side and the secondary side are separated by a galvanic isolation barrier and communicate via a communication circuit. The primary side is configured to receive a trigger signal at the trigger input and forward the trigger signal to the ADC of the secondary side of the driver via the communication circuit. The ADC is configured to start a measurement upon receiving the trigger signal.

An encryption device encrypts a first block of user data to obtain a first encryption result and encrypts a second block of user data, which follows the first block of user data, to obtain a second encryption result. The encryption device uses the first encryption result for encrypting the second block of user data. An extractor extracts a first portion of the first encryption result, the first portion being smaller than the first encryption result, and a second portion of the second encryption result, the second portion being smaller than the second encryption result. A message formatter combines the first block of user data and the first portion as a signature for the first block to produce a first transmission packet, and combines the second block of user data and the second portion as a signature for the second block to produce a second transmission packet.
