The present invention relates to a production machine for the production of collapsible pouches, which comprises an impulse sealing device with a first jaw and a second jaw for contacting bottom regions of walls of the pouches. Each jaw comprises a susceptor element comprising electrically conductive material, having a front surface that is at least shaped as an inverted T for sealing side edges and at least a portion of bottom edges of two adjacent interconnected pouches. Each jaw comprises an inductor which is electrically insulated from the respective susceptor element. The machine comprises a high frequency electric current source, which is connected to the inductors. At least one of the jaws comprises a cooling device for cooling down the respective inductor and susceptor element. The machine is configured so that, in an impulse sealing cycle for sealing the bottom regions of the pouch walls, the electric current source is operated to temporarily feed a high frequency electric current to the inductors, thereby generating a high frequency electromagnetic field with the inductors. The high frequency electromagnetic field induces eddy currents in the respective susceptor element generating an impulse of heat that is emitted by the susceptor element, which impulses of heat seal the bottom regions of the pouch walls to each other.

Production of collapsible pouches

A sealing system for heat sealing superimposed walls of heat-sealable film material, e.g. in the production of pouches. The sealing section comprises two or more sealing stations arranged in series along a linear path for the superimposed walls dispensed from an infeed section. Each sealing station comprises a sealing device with first and second jaws and an actuator device to move the jaws between an opened position and a clamped position. Each sealing device comprises a motion device that is configured to move the first and second jaws in synchronicity with the superimposed walls when clamped between the first and second jaws. Each sealing station has a cooling device that is configured to continuously cool at least one of the jaws. At least each first jaw comprises at the respective front surface thereof at least one impulse heatable member embodied as a susceptor element that extends along the respective front surface. Each sealing station is configured to perform an integrated impulse sealing and cooling cycle.

A closure assembly comprising an article with a neck and a cap. The cap includes a tamper-evident ring having at least two ring segments, each ring segment having a base portion and an indicator portion. The article has for each segment a boss with a catch portion having a recess. Upon rotating the cap in an opening direction by the user from its closed position for the first time the head end of the indicator portion enters the recess of the catch portion and is then prevented from further rotation of the cap in opening direction, while the catch portion outer wall comes in the spacing between the spaced apart head end and trailing end, the frangible bridge between the head end and trailing end breaking and the indicator portion bending, folding, and/or buckling while being subjected to permanent deformation upon further rotation of the cap in opening direction.

A closure assembly comprises an article () forming a tubular neck () around a product passage () in said article. The neck forms a mouth at a top end of said product passage. The assembly further comprises a rotational cap () that is injection molded of plastic material and that is secured on or to be secured on said neck of the article. The cap seals the product passage in closed position of the cap on said neck, and the cap&#x2014;for removal of the cap from the neck of the article by a user to open the product passage&#x2014;is adapted to be manually rotated from the closed position in an opening direction.

Closure assembly

A closure device () for a product dispensing container. The closure device comprises a base () having a body with a connector portion () adapted to mount the closure device on a product container. The base comprises a product channel () and a rupturable seal () occluding the product channel and forming a lower seal of the closure device. A rotary part () is rotatably journalled on the base. The rotary part has a product passage () in communication with the product channel in the base. An upper sealing arrangement () is arranged on the rotary part and forms an upper seal of the closure device that is remote from the lower seal and seals the product passage of the rotary part.
