Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for adaptive educational activities are disclosed. In one aspect, a computer-implemented method includes receiving, by a computing device that is configured to grant a given user access to a first group of activity modules based on a classification of the given user, user data and classification data. The method includes granting the user access to a first activity module and a second activity module, and preventing the user from accessing a third activity module. The method includes receiving interaction data based on the user interacting with the first activity module, and determining that the interaction data indicates an improper classification of the user. Based on the interaction data, the method includes maintaining the classification of the user, granting the user access to a fourth activity module, and preventing the user from accessing the second activity module.

Adaptive educational activities

An indication of a portion of a lesson to be viewed by students is received. Computing devices of the students are notified that the portion of the lesson is to be viewed and student interaction information that indicates whether the students are viewing the portion of the lesson plan on the computing devices is received. An amount of the students viewing the portion of the lesson is determined based on the student interaction information and task information that indicates the determined amount of the students that are viewing the portion of the lesson is provided.

Monitoring student focus in a learning environment

Diverse content items from within a network of federated systems is managed to allow automatic access of related content items from within the network based on access of a first content item. The related content items are ranked according to various criteria for relatedness and/or quality.

Associating diverse content

Group-based, periodic education intervention that provides a targeted curriculum selected specifically for each period based on current skill assessment data is described. For example, candidates' skill levels in multiple skills are assessed, and groups are formed based on commonality of skill level. A period-specific curriculum is generated for each group to address the specific needs of the individuals of the respective group. After delivery of the period-specific targeted curriculum over the period, re-assessments of the current skill of the group members are made, and a period-specific curriculum for the subsequent period is generated and delivered. Fidelity of an implementation of the curriculum is analyzed, and alerts, reminders, and reports are provided to improve fidelity of an implementation of the curriculum.

Education monitoring

Assessment information relating to multiple, different types of assessments administered to a student is accessed. A learning map includes a plurality of cells. Each cell corresponds to a learning objective. A first performance level of the student is determined based on a first set of assessment items. A first one of the cells is modified to include a first indication of the first performance level. A second performance level of the student is determined based on a second set of assessment items, wherein the first set of assessments include at least one different assessment than the second set of assessments. A second one of the cells is modified to include a second indication of the second performance level. One or more learning map interfaces are displayed. The learning map interfaces are configured to display the learning map populated with performance information.

Interactive learning map

One or more learning map interfaces are displayed. The learning map interfaces include a selection control configured to allow a user to select a subset of assessments from a set of assessments. The subset includes less assessments than the set. Performance information for a student is determined based on the subset of assessments. A learning map is populated with the performance information for the student. The learning map includes a plurality of cells. Each cell corresponds to a learning objective. The plurality of cells is arranged in a manner that reflects a relationship between the learning objectives corresponding to the cells. One or more learning map interfaces are displayed. The learning map interfaces are configured to display the learning map populated with the performance information.
