A lancing device including a latch that pivots between a non-blocking position allowing a lancet carrier and a lancet to advance and retract through a first forward and reverse lancing stroke and a blocking position preventing further/excess/secondary oscillation of the lancet carrier and lancet. The pivotal latch can pivot about an axis perpendicular (e.g., for an L-shaped latch) or parallel/coaxial (e.g., for a sleeve latch) to the advancement and retraction motion of the lancet carrier and lancet.

Embodiments disclosed herein are generally related to children's stroller systems and more particularly to systems, methods, and apparatus for providing a compact folding wagon-style stroller. In at least one embodiment, a compact folding wagon-style stroller can be provided. The stroller can include a stroller frame including a handle that can be folded into a collapsed position and a group of one or more tubes coupled to one another via a floating hub, wherein the floating hub includes a slidable release grip. When the slidable release grip is actuated by a user, the group of one or more tubes are permitted to rotate from an operable configuration to a closed or folded position.

An adjustable mode child rocker can be adjusted to provide a number of different swinging/rocking motions to a child positioned within the rocker. The child rocker can include a seat assembly that can include a seat upon which a child can sit. The child rocker can also include a trolley assembly that is directly or indirectly attached to the seat assembly and can include multiple wheels near the bottom of the trolley assembly. The child rocker can also include at least one stationary track and at least one adjustable track for the wheels to move along to provide the different rocking/swinging motions to the seat assembly. The adjustable track(s) is adjustable from at least a first position to a second position to change the distance between the troughs of the respective stationary and adjustable tracks along a longitudinal axis of the child rocker and thereby changing the rocking/swinging motion.

Apparatus and method for an adjustable mode child rocker and swing

A lancing device includes a housing, a lancet carrier translational within the housing, a drive spring for propelling the lancet carrier through a translational lancing stroke, and a charging mechanism. The charging mechanism includes a first cam member that is rotatable relative to the housing, a second cam member that abuts the first cam member, is coupled to the lancet carrier, and is restricted from rotation relative to the housing, and a rotatable handle co-rotationally attached to the first cam member. Rotation of the handle rotates the first cam member with it, causing the first cam member to rotate against the second cam member, which in response traverses axially because it is restricted from rotation, thereby retracting the lancet carrier to a retracted or charged state.

A lancing device having a drive mechanism whereby unidirectional motion of the drive mechanism drives a lancet along an advancing portion and a retraction portion of a lancing stroke. A rotationally mounted crank member or a translationally mounted shuttle of the drive mechanism operate upon an associated linkage and/or a cam path portion of the lancet carrier to drive the carrier along the lancing stroke. A lancing device includes an advance-and-eject mechanism with a positioning member for manipulating a series of interconnected lancets. The advance-and-eject mechanism includes an actuator, a control channel, a cam-and-follower mechanism, one or more axial-contact members, and one or more angular-contact members. Actuating the actuator relative to the control channel imparts rotational and axial forces on the positioning member, and the cam-and-follower mechanism selectively restricts rotational and/or axial motion of the positioning member to induce first-stage rotation, second-stage translation, third-stage rotation, and fourth-stage translation. The first-stage rotation rotates the axial-contact members into an interference position, the second-stage translation advances the axial-contact members and the lancet, the third-stage rotation rotates the angular-contact members and the lancet to sever its rearside connection, and the fourth-stage translation advances the axial-contact members and the lancet to a position free of the serial-interconnected lancets thereby ejecting it from the lancing device.

A lancing device and lancet are provided with depth-control, lancet ejection, and/or guidance mechanisms. The depth-control mechanism includes a dial rotationally mounted at a distal end of the housing of the lancing device, the dial being coupled to a linkage whereby rotation of the dial imparts translational movement to a stop surface of the linkage to limit the stroke of the lancet and thereby control lancing penetration depth. The ejection mechanism includes an ejector that is advanced into contact with a transversely flared flange of the lancet to discharge the lancet from the lancing device. The guidance mechanism includes an inner guidance housing for restricting out-of-axis movement of a lancet carrier.

A guidance mechanism for a lancing device. The guidance mechanism includes a piston having a shaft, a plurality of wings or fins extending from the shaft, a plurality of sliding engagement structures, and a lancet holder; and a chassis having a body, a plurality of longitudinal slits or cutouts, a plurality of elongated engagement structures, and an end aperture. The piston slides within the chassis, and the wings/fins engage within the slits/cutouts, allowing for linear longitudinal guidance of the piston within the chassis.

Improved lancet configurations and protective lancet endcap configurations are disclosed. In example forms, one or more flexing cantilevers project from the lancet body for coupling with a cooperating receiver of a lancing device. A gripping handle extends from a sterility cap for ease of removal from and replacement over the lancet tip. A lancet body has a smoothly curved wave contour with at least one crest and at least one trough for engagement with a cooperating receiver of a lancing device.
