A stable shampoo composition containing a surfactant system that is substantially free of sulfated surfactants. The shampoo composition also contains an anionic surfactant, an amphoteric surfactant, a cationic polymer and a sclerotium gum thickener. The shampoo composition has a consumer-preferred viscosity of greater than 2500 cP, a pH greater than 5.5 and lacks in-situ coacervate.

Described herein is a hair care composition including from about 0.01% to about 20% of a lipid being one or more unsaturated fatty materials chosen from unsaturated fatty acids, unsaturated fatty alcohols, and mixtures thereof. The unsaturated fatty material has a Log P of less than 8. The hair care composition also includes from about 0.01% to about 10% of a fatty acid monoester of a polyol, a saturated fatty alcohol, an ester of a saturated fatty alcohol, and mixtures thereof. The molecule of the fatty acid component of the fatty acid monoester includes a linear or a branched carbon chain with 10 to 22 carbon atoms. The fatty acid monoester of a polyol has a log P of less than 8. The molecule of the fatty alcohol includes a linear or branched carbon chain with 8 to 22 carbon atoms. The hair care composition also includes a non-aqueous volatile solvent.

Composition for enhancing hair fiber properties

A hair conditioner composition containing an aqueous carrier, from about 2.5 wt % to about 6.7 wt % of a behenamidopropyl dimethylamine, from about 3 wt % to about 8 wt % of a fatty alcohol; and less than 1.5 wt % of a salt. The molar ratio of behenamidopropyl dimethylamine to fatty alcohol can be from about 7:50 to about 4:5. The conditioner composition can have a uniform gel network. The composition can have d-spacing of less than 32 nm, as measured according to the d-spacing (Lβ-basal spacing) of Lamella Gel Network Test Method.

Hair conditioner compositions containing behenamidopropyl dimethylamine

A stable mild shampoo composition delivering consumer desired wet conditioning, moisture feel and viscosity. The shampoo may contain 5 wt % to 35 wt % of alkyl polyglucoside; 0.15 wt % to 1.05% sclerotium gum, and 0.15 wt % to 1.05% of a cationic polymer. The shampoo has a viscosity of 0.6 Pa-s to 20 Pa-s, which allows for ease of use by the consumer. It may be desirable for the shampoo to contain less than 1 wt % ionic surfactant.
