A static mixerfor mixing a fluid flow having at least two components is disclosed, as well as a method for mixing first and second components with the static mixer. The static mixerincludes a mixing conduithaving a first inner surface, a second inner surfacethat extends from the first inner surface, and a third inner surfacethat extends from the first inner surfaceto the second inner surface. The first, second, and third inner surfacesdefine a mixing passage receiving the fluid flow. The first and second inner surfacesare offset by a first acute angle, the first and third surfacesare offset by a second acute angle, and the second and third surfacesare offset by a third acute angle. The static mixerincludes a mixing elementpositioned in the mixing passage.
