A process and apparatus for providing a cabinet security system is disclosed. The system includes a magnetic lock to be mounted on a movable cabinet panel and a catch that is mounted on a cabinet frame and configured to engage the magnetic lock to hold the cabinet panel in a closed position relative to the cabinet frame.

Cabinet security system

A gate unit includes a gate mount that can be mount to a doorway, hallway, or staircase. A gate is mounted to the gate mount for pivotable movement between opened and closed positions. The gate unit further includes a two stage gate latch that is configured to latch the gate when the gate is in the closed position.

A gate unit includes a gate mount and a gate coupled to the gate mount for swinging movement between opened and closed positions. A latch assembly is coupled to the gate to lock the gate in the closed position. The gate unit can be mounted in a doorway.

A fixture lock is provided to lock two movable parts of a fixture so that one part may not be moved relative to another part to gain access to a receptacle formed in the fixture. The fixture lock could be used to lock a cabinet drawer in a closed position in a cabinet base to block access to a storage region formed in the cabinet drawer.

An access-control system is provided for a door lock that is associated with a door and a rotatable doorknob. The access-control system includes a doorknob cover.

A cabinet lock includes a first knob mount and a separate second knob mount. The first knob mount is arranged to mate with a doorknob carried on a first cabinet door. The second knob mount is arranged to mate with a doorknob carried on the second cabinet door to retain the first and second cabinet doors in closed positions.

A gate unit includes a gate mount that can be mated with a frame bordering a doorway, hallway, or staircase. The gate unit also includes a gate mounted for pivotable movement on the gate mount between opened and closed positions.
