An oven door interlock system configured to selectively block a switch based on a position of an oven door may include a switch, a reference hinge attached to the oven door, the door movable between an open position and a closed position, and a locking mechanism connected to the switch via a rod, the locking mechanism including a hinge receiver connected to the reference hinge attached to the oven door, the reference hinge including a cam configured to move along a first axis in response to actuation at the oven door and to affect movement of the rod along a second axis perpendicular to the first axis on a position of the oven door to selectively block access to the switch when the oven door is in the open position.

A method for assembling an induction heating device includes the steps of interposing at least one ferrite bar between a coil assembly and a support plate, and snap engaging a central polymeric fastening element on the support plate. At least one end of the ferrite bar is inserted in a radial seat of the central polymeric fastening element. The coil assembly is snap engaged with the central polymeric fastening element in order to sandwich the ferrite bars between the support plate and the coil assembly.

Method for assembling an induction heating device

A hand protecting cavity ventilation system for an oven is provided. The system includes an air duct, positioned at a top of a cavity of the oven, the air duct having a duct outlet aimed toward a door to the cavity to provide an airflow along an inner surface of the door. The air duct extends downward from the ceiling of the cavity in front of and below a heating element disposed below the ceiling of the cavity. The air duct forms a vertically displaced hand protection portion to act as a barrier in front of the heating element, thereby guarding the heating element when the door of the oven is opened.

The device may include a support plate and a coil assembly and a plurality of ferrite bars or the like interposed between the coil assembly and the support plate. Additionally, a central polymeric element may be directly in contact with and interposed between the coil assembly and the support plate. The central element may have a plurality of radial seats configured for engagement with at least one end of the ferrite bars, the seats are configured to locate the bars in a predetermined position.

Induction heating device, cooking appliance using such device and method for assembly thereof

It is disclosed a household multi-purpose cooking appliance that can function in a barbecue mode, in an oven mode and in a fryer/boiler mode. The appliance comprises a cooking chamber with a top aperture closed by a lid associated to a heating element and an insulating cover. The cooking chamber can contain a lower heating element for use in the oven or fryer cooking mode. A pan is inserted in the cooking chamber in the fryer mode.

Multi-purpose cooking appliance

According to the invention, a steam generator is provided with a housing for forming a steam generating chamber, the housing having a steam outlet port. A heater plate is supported by the housing within the steam generating chamber. A water inlet valve is fluidly connected to the housing for selectively supplying water into the steam generating chamber whereby water is directed to the heater plate for conversion to steam. The heater plate forms a bottom wall of the steam generating chamber and is arranged to have a high point. The water inlet valve is opened and closed in accord with a duty cycle which alternates between two phases: a fill phase duty cycle and a steady state duty cycle.
