It is disclosed an anti-tampering assembly for the transportation and storage of a package, the anti-tampering assembly being configured to be associated with the package. the anti-tampering assembly comprises: a tampering detection unit comprising a RFID passive tag and a tampering track of a conductive material configured to be connected to said RFID tag upon dispatching the package so as to inhibit the operation of the RFID tag, wherein the tampering track is configured to be interrupted in case of tampering of the package; an actuating unit configured to detect the interruption of the tampering track in case of tampering of the package and, upon detection, actuate an alarm unit; and the alarm unit comprising a radio module configured to, upon actuation, transmit an alarm message over a long range wireless communication network.

Anti-tampering assembly and system

It is disclosed a theft-detection assembly for detecting the theft of an item, the theft-detection assembly comprising: a wireless power transmitter configured to broadcast electromagnetic waves within a given area; a locator device configured to be associated with the item and comprising a wireless power receiver configured to receive the electromagnetic waves. The locator device further comprises an actuating unit and an alarm unit, wherein: the actuating unit is connected to the wireless power receiver and is configured to, in the absence of the electromagnetic waves, actuate the alarm unit; and the alarm unit comprises a radio module configured to, upon actuation, transmit an alarm message over a wireless communication network.

Theft-detection assembly and system for goods transportation and storage

The movement of a part of human body, e.g. a limb, is monitored. The movement includes N iterated rotations in a plane. A sensing device is fixed to the limb and provides data indicative of the limb movement. These data are processed to generate a rotation signal. Then, portions of the rotation signal corresponding to each movement iteration are identified. To this purpose, a plurality of null-velocity instants is identified, wherein the angular velocity of the sensing device is null. Then, each null-velocity instant is classified as a candidate start/end time or a candidate peak time. Then, a start time, end time and peak time for each iteration are determined as a combination of two candidate start/end times and a candidate peak time that fulfils certain conditions on the values of the rotation signal in correspondence of candidate start/end times and candidate peak times.

System and method for monitoring the movement of a part of a human body

A motion capture system includes a wearable device (e.g. a glove) suitable for being worn by a user and including one or more markers having respective colors. A video camera acquires a sequence of color frames of the user moving while wearing the glove, while a range camera acquires corresponding depth frames of the same scene. A processing unit processes both color frames and depth frames for reconstructing the 3D positions of the markers. In particular, the depth information provided by the depth frames are used for isolating a validity area within the color frames, and the markers are searched based on their colors, exclusively within the validity area of the color frames. The movements of the user are then captured as a sequence of positions of the markers. Combined use of color information and depth information provide a very reliable and accurate motion capture.
