According to an aspect, there is provided an apparatus for a radio receiver or transceiver of a first access node. The apparatus is configured to perform the following. Upon receiving data via at least one antenna, the apparatus performs resource mapping on the received data based on scheduling information defining currently allocated uplink time-frequency resources to isolate at least a first data set corresponding to non-allocated uplink time-frequency resources. The apparatus compares the first data set against one or more first pre-defined criteria for detecting interference. In response to detecting interference in the first data set according to said one or more first pre-defined criteria, the apparatus instructs a scheduler entity of the first access node to avoid scheduling uplink time-frequency resources affected by said interference.

Scheduler information-based data acquisition and interference detection

Power converters and method with reverse charge capability are presented. A power converter operates either in a buck mode for transferring electrical power from a first terminal of the power converter to a second terminal of the power converter, or in a boost mode for transferring electrical power from the second terminal of the power converter to the first terminal of the power converter. The power converter has several switching elements, a flying capacitor, an inductor, and a control unit. The switching elements couple the first terminal of the power converter and the flying capacitor, couple the first terminal of the flying capacitor and a first terminal of the inductor, couple the first terminal of the inductor and a second terminal of the flying capacitor and couple the second terminal of the flying capacitor and a reference potential. The control unit controls the switching elements.

Multi-level buck converter with reverse charge capability

A wired connection, such as USB-C, for charging a sink from a source, has a configuration channel and a power transmission channel. The presence of data on the configuration channel is used to determine that a cable has been disconnected from the power source. This charging system contains a capacitive power converter and a controller for controlling the capacitive power converter. There is also a configuration channel detector, which is arranged to detect the status of the configuration channel and to provide this status to the controller, so that the system can determine that the source has been detached from the bus when no configuration channel data is present.

Battery charging for mobile devices

A method of monitoring a process of powering a portable device through a cable connected between a power supply and a portable device is presented. The method includes applying a time-dependent current variation to one end of the cable in accordance with a spreading sequence, detecting a time-dependent voltage variation at the one end of the cable, the time dependent voltage variation resulting from the applying of the time-dependent current variation, and determining a quantity indicative of an impedance of the cable assembly based on the time-dependent voltage variation and the spreading sequence. Further, an apparatus for monitoring a process of powering a portable device through a cable connected between a power supply and a portable device is presented.
