A process for preparing silane-terminated polymers (SP) of the formula (I),Y—[O—C(═O)—NH—(CR)—SiR(OR)]  (I),includes in a 1process step at least one polymer (OHP) of the formula (II),Y—[OH]  (II),being reacted with at least one isocyanate-functional silane (IS) of the formula (III),O═C═N—(CR)—SiR(OR)  (III),with the proviso that the isocyanate-functional silanes (IS) are used in an amount such that there are at least 1.05 isocyanate groups in the silanes (IS) to each hydroxyl group in the compounds (OHP). Subsequently, in a 2process step, the unreacted isocyanate groups of the silanes (IS) are reacted, in the reaction mixture obtained in the 1process step, with at least one alcohol (A) of the formula (IV),ROH  (IV)Subsequently, in a 3process step, the reaction mixture obtained in the 2process step is passed through an evaporation unit (VD).

Method for producing organyloxysilane-terminated polymers

Silane-terminated polymers of the formula (I)Y&#x2014;[Z&#x2014;C(&#x2550;O)&#x2014;NR&#x2014;(CR)&#x2014;SiR(OR)]&#x2003;&#x2003;(I),are produced by reacting at least one hydroxy-functional polymer (a), comprising at least one polyether, polyester and/or polyacrylate unit, with at least one compound having at least one isocyanate group, in the presence of at least one bismuth-containing catalyst (K), with the proviso that the reaction mixture comprises 50 to 250 ppm water at the start of the reaction.

Low-modulus silylated polyurethanes

In a curable composition that contains at least one polymer having at least one terminal group of the general formula (I)-A-R&#x2014;SiXYZ&#x2003;&#x2003;(I),at least one cyclic compound that contains at least one structural motif of formula (II) as a constituent of the ring structure; and at least one cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid dialkyl ester in which the alkyl residues of the ester groups each, mutually independently, contain 1 to 20 carbon atoms. Curable composition having a special catalyst/softner system

Isocyanate-functional silanes are prepared in high yield by pyrolysis of an O-carbamate prepared by reaction of a dialkylcarbonate with an aminoalkyl-functional silane in the presence of a basic catalyst, where the catalyst is neutralized by an acid which has a pKof all protolysis stages of not more than 4. The neutralized or partially neutralized catalyst need not be removed prior to pyrolysis.
