A handlebar stem, in particular for racing bicycle handlebars, comprises a main element which is connected to a handlebar at a front end. The main element is connected to the handlebar stem tube in the area of a rear end. The handlebar stem tube is connectible to a steerer tube such that it is bendable in the longitudinal direction to improve riding comfort.

A handlebar stem system for bicycle handlebars includes a steerer tube and a handlebar stem tube. The handlebar stem tube protrudes into the steerer tube. By means of a clamping device arranged within the steerer tube, is it possible to clampingly connect handlebar stem tube and steerer tube. According to the disclosure, the clamping device includes a clamping means, such as a screw, which protrudes into the steerer tube through an insertion opening therethrough.

A clamping element () is arranged in the seat tube (), on which element a clamping force is exerted by a clamping means () to fix a seat post () in the seat tube (). Further, a bearing element () for defining the lateral position of the seat post () is arranged in the end portion () of the seat tube (), when in the mounted state.

A handlebar stem for bicycle handlebars has a stem element connected to a holding element. The holding element has a tube opening and surrounds a steer tube in the mounted state. A clamping element is arranged in the holding element. Using a clamping device, a clamping force is exerted on the clamping element for fixing the handlebar stem to the steer tube.
