An apparatus for a wireless communication network is described that has an antenna unit. The antenna unit includes a plurality of antennas or one or more antenna arrays each having a plurality of antenna elements. The apparatus communicates with one or more network entities of the wireless communication network, like a base station or another UE. The apparatus transmits to or receives from the network entity a reference signal, like a Sounding Reference Signal, SRS, or a Synchronization Signal Block, SSB, using one or more beams beamformed by the apparatus using one or more input parameters. The apparatus transmits a feedback to the network entity, the feedback indicating the one or more input parameters the apparatus uses for beamforming the one or more beams, and/or the apparatus is configured or preconfigured, e.g., by the network entity, with the one or more input parameters.

Iterative transmit refinement

A user equipment, UE, for a wireless communication network including one or more base stations, performs a transmission to a base station using a grant-free, GF, transmission scheme. The transmission being performed in accordance with a GF transmission configuration. The UE receives from the base station a certain signaling. The certain signaling indicates that the base station failed to identify the UE from the transmission. Responsive to the certain signaling from the base station, the UE retransmits the transmission in accordance with a GF retransmission configuration. The GF retransmission configuration is different from the GF transmission configuration.

The present invention concerns a novel form of communication within a cellular wireless communication network. A wireless communications network includes a base station configured for operating a wireless communications network cell of the wireless communications network so as to provide communication in a plurality of slots. Each slot includes a plurality of associated physical resources. The wireless communications network includes at least one transmitter configured for transmitting a signal in the wireless communications network cell by mapping the signal into a number of part signals and for transmitting the number of part signals with a corresponding number of associated slots using a corresponding number of sets of physical resources, each set containing at least a subset of the associated plurality of physical resources of the slot. Each set of physical resources is received at the base station shifted with a set-individual offset and with respect to a synchronized start of the slot.

Resource-staggered coded multiple access

An apparatus includes an antenna array having a plurality of antennas. The antenna array is configured to receive a multi-carrier signal from a multi-antenna transmitter over a radio channel. The multi-carrier signal has at least two subcarriers, and each subcarrier is mapped at the transmitter to a respective subcarrier-beamformer. The respective subcarrier-beamformers has non-identical null and beam cone directions. A processor is configured to identify a communication direction for a radio signal communication between the apparatus and the transmitter.
