A wireless communication system comprising a first network node and a wireless device is provided. The system is adapted to establish communication between the first network node and the wireless device. The device is adapted to obtain information related to a geographic location of the device, to transmit the information related to the geographic location to the network node, and to transmit a Sounding Reference Signal to the node. The node is adapted to receive information related to a geographic location of the device, and to determine an antenna configuration of the network node for communicating with the device via a directive antenna, based on the geographic location of the device. A network node is adapted to communicate with the device by the first network node, via the directive antenna, by means of the determined antenna configuration.

Enhanced establishment of communication between nodes in a communication system

There is provided a combined antenna and radome arrangement. The combined antenna and radome arrangement comprises an advanced antenna system (AAS). The AAS comprises antenna elements and is configured for communication in a frequency range of 2.5 GHz to 10 GHz. The combined antenna and radome arrangement further comprises a radome. The radome has a first layer sandwiched between two second layers. The two second layers are of a second dielectric material. The first layer is of a first dielectric material and has a thickness t, where t&#x2264;&#x3bb;/3, wherein &#x3bb;is the wavelength of the highest frequency in the frequency range of the AAS. The radome is placed in front of the AAS such that the radome forms a cover for the AAS.

Combined antenna and radome arrangement

The embodiments herein relate to a method performed by a testing device for enabling testing of a communication node. The testing device measures a test parameter associated with RF characteristics of the communication node when it is located at a test location during a first condition. The communication node is configured with a node setting during the measurement in the first condition. The testing device measures the test parameter associated with the RF characteristics of the communication node when it is located at the test location during a second condition. The communication node is configured with the same node setting in the second condition as in the first condition. The testing device checks whether a result parameter associated with the test parameter measured during the first and second condition fulfills a requirement.

Method and device for enabling testing of a communication node

The embodiments herein relate to a method performed by a testing device () for enabling testing of a communication node (). The testing device () measures a test parameter associated with RF characteristics of the communication node () when it is located at a test location () during a first condition. The communication node () is configured with a node setting during the measurement in the first condition. The testing device () measures the test parameter associated with the RF characteristics of the communication node () when it is located at the test location () during a second condition. The communication node () is configured with the same node setting in the second condition as in the first condition. The testing device () checks whether a result parameter associated with the test parameter measured during the first and second condition fulfills a requirement.

The present invention relates to a communication node arrangement comprising at least two antenna units. Each antenna unit comprises at least one signal port and at least one antenna element, where each signal port is connected to at least one corresponding antenna element. Each antenna unit comprises at least one sensor unit arranged to sense its orientation relative a predetermined reference extension. The communication node arrangement comprises at least one control unit and is arranged to feed a respective test signal into each of at least two different signal ports. For each such test signal, the communication node arrangement is arranged to receive the test signal via at least one other signal port. The communication node arrangement being arranged to determine relative positions of said antenna units based on the received test signals, and to determine relative orientations of said antenna units based on data received from the sensor units.

Self-configuring communication node arrangement

The present invention relates to a method for improving Time To First Fix, TTFF, sensitivity and accuracy, wherein a Global Navigation Satellite System, GNSS, positioning device (), communicates with a Core Service () in a User Equipment (), U&#x2014;the GNSS positioning device acquires () GNSS satellite signals and navigation data and based on said signals/data determines a position within TTFF,&#x2014;the Core Service detects () user data indicating specific user behaviors and initiates said determination of position based on said user data. The present invention also relates to a Core Service, a Global Navigation Satellite System, GNSS, positioning device, a Radio Module and a User Equipment, UE, adapted for the same purpose.

Method of injection-moulding plastics for electrical shielding casings

Moulding tool (21), including an upper (22) and a lower (23) mound half, each with its recess, these recesses together forming a cavity (24) of the tool. The upper half (22) has a diaphragm (27) defining the cavity (24), on the rear side of which there is a space (31). Cores (25, 26) are fixed in the lower half (23), the ends (36) of theses cores engaging against the diaphragm (27). Raw material, e.g. plastics, is injected through a sprue (33) under high pressure into the cavity (24). Oil under pressure is pumped (34) through a duct (32) into the space (31) to keep the diaphragm (27) into engagement against the ends (36) of the cores. The plastics is thus prevented from penetrating between the ends (36) of the cores and the diaphragm (27), and friction forces between the diaphragm (27) and core (26) prevents the latter from being deflected laterally by the injected plastics. The manufactured products are free from flash, and disturbances in production and repair costs due to spoiled cores are small.
