The present invention relates to a downhole expandable metal tubular having an axial extension, to be expanded in a well downhole to abut against an inner face of a casing or a borehole, comprising a first section having a first outer diameter, two circumferential projections having a second outer diameter which is larger than the first outer diameter, a second section arranged between the two projections, each projection having an inclined face tapering from the second outer diameter towards the second section, wherein the second section has a third outer diameter which is smaller than the first outer diameter in an unexpanded condition, and a sealing element is arranged between the projections opposite the second section, so that during expansion the second section bulges more radially outwards than the first section, forcing the sealing element radially outwards. Furthermore, the present invention relates to an annular barrier, a downhole completion and a sealing expansion method.

Downhole expandable metal tubular

An annular barrier to be expanded in an annulus between a well tubular structure and a wall of a borehole downhole includes a tubular metal part having a first expansion opening, an axial extension and an outer face, an expandable sleeve surrounding the tubular metal part and having an inner face facing the tubular metal part and an outer face facing the wall of the borehole, each end of the expandable sleeve being connected with the tubular metal part, and an annular space between the expandable sleeve and the tubular metal part. Fluid inside the tubular metal part has a tubular pressure, and the annular barrier has an expansion unit having a first inlet in fluid communication with the expansion opening, a second inlet in fluid communication with the first zone and an outlet in fluid communication with the annular space. The expansion unit has an element movable at least between a first position in which the expansion opening is in fluid communication with the outlet and the tubular pressure being higher than the first pressure, and a second position in which the outlet is in fluid communication with the first zone and the first pressure being higher than the tubular pressure. The tubular metal part has at least one second expansion opening being fluidly connected with the first inlet.

Annular barrier with expansion unit

The present invention relates to a downhole annular barrier to be expanded in an annulus between a well tubular structure and a wall of a borehole or another well tubular structure downhole in order to provide zone isolation between a first zone having a first pressure and a second zone having a second pressure of the borehole, the annular barrier comprising a tubular part adapted to be mounted as part of the well tubular structure, the tubular part having an outer face and an inside, an expandable metal sleeve surrounding the tubular part and having an inner sleeve face facing the tubular part and an outer sleeve face facing the wall of the borehole, each end of the expandable metal sleeve being connected with the tubular part, and an annular space between the inner sleeve face of the expandable metal sleeve and the tubular part, a first opening in fluid communication with the inside, a second opening in fluid communication with the annular space, a bore having a bore extension and comprising a first bore part having a first inner diameter and a second bore part having an inner diameter which is larger than that of the first bore part, wherein the first opening and the second opening are arranged in the first bore part and displaced along the bore extension, and the annular barrier further comprises a piston arranged in the bore, the piston comprising a first piston part having an outer diameter substantially corresponding to the inner diameter of the first bore part and comprising a second piston part having an outer diameter substantially corresponding to the inner diameter of the second bore part, and a rupture element preventing movement of the piston until a predetermined pressure in the bore is reached. Furthermore, the present invention relates to an annular barrier system.

Annular barrier with closing mechanism

The present invention relates to a downhole flow control device for controlling a flow of a fluid from a borehole into a well tubular structure and/or from the well tubular structure into the borehole, comprising a base tubular having an axial axis and adapted to be mounted as part of the well tubular structure, the base tubular having a first opening, a first sleeve arranged within the base tubular, the first sleeve having a first sleeve part and a second sleeve part with a second opening, and the first sleeve being adapted to slide along the axial axis for at least partly aligning the first opening with the second opening, wherein a second sleeve is arranged at least partly between the second sleeve part and the base tubular, and an engagement element is arranged for engaging an indentation of the second sleeve part in a first position and for disengaging the indentation of the second sleeve part in a second position. Furthermore the present invention relates to a downhole system.

Downhole flow control device

An annular barrier to be expanded in an annulus between a well tubular structure and a wall of a borehole downhole, includes a tubular metal part for mounting as part of the well tubular structure having an outer face; an expandable sleeve surrounding the tubular metal part and having an inner face facing the tubular metal part and an outer face facing the wall of the borehole, each end of the expandable sleeve being connected with the tubular metal part; and an annular space between the inner face of the expandable sleeve and the tubular metal part, the annular space having a space pressure. The annular barrier has an anti-collapsing unit with an element movable at least between a first position and a second position, the anti-collapsing unit having first and second inlets and an outlet arranged to allow equalization.

Zone isolation method and annular barrier with an anti-collapsing unit

The present invention relates to a downhole expandable tubular to be expanded in a well downhole from a first outer diameter to a second outer diameter to abut against an inner face of a casing or borehole, the downhole expandable tubular having an outer face and a longitudinal extension and comprising at least one first circumferential edge and at least one second circumferential edge provided on the outer face and spaced apart in the longitudinal extension, wherein a sealing element and a split ring-shaped retaining element are arranged between the first and second circumferential edges, the split ring-shaped retaining element forming a back-up for the sealing element and wherein the split ring-shaped retaining element has more than one winding, so that when the expandable tubular is expanded from the first outer diameter to the second outer diameter, the split ring-shaped retaining element partly unwinds. Furthermore, the present invention relates to an annular barrier.

Downhole expandable tubular

The present invention relates to a downhole expandable metal tubular to be expanded in a well downhole from a first outer diameter to a second outer diameter to abut against an inner face of a casing or borehole, the downhole expandable metal tubular having an outer tubular face and a longitudinal extension and comprising a first circumferential edge and a second circumferential edge provided on the outer tubular face and having a distance along the longitudinal extension, and a circumferential sealing element being arranged between the circumferential edges, wherein the downhole expandable metal tubular further comprises: a circumferential resilient element having an outer face part facing away from the outer tubular face and having an extension along the longitudinal extension, the extension of the circumferential resilient element being smaller than the distance, a space arranged adjacent to the circumferential resilient element in the longitudinal extension, and a first portion of the circumferential sealing element at least partly overlapping the outer face part of the circumferential resilient element, the circumferential resilient element arranged between the portion of the circumferential sealing element and the outer tubular face. Furthermore, the present invention relates to an annular barrier, to a downhole completion system and to a sealing method.

The present invention relates to a downhole expandable tubular to be expanded in a well downhole from a first outer diameter to a second outer diameter to abut against an inner face of a casing or borehole, the downhole expandable tubular having an axial extension, wherein the downhole expandable tubular is made of metal and is machined from one metal tubular blank, providing the downhole expandable tubular with at least one circumferential projection. Furthermore, the present invention relates to an annular barrier, to a downhole completion comprising a downhole expandable tubular according to the present invention, to a downhole completion comprising a well tubular structure and an annular barrier according to the present invention and to a manufacturing method for the manufacture of the downhole expandable tubular according to the present invention.

A downhole annular barrier with an axial extension having an outer surface facing an inner surface of an outer structure has a tubular part, an expandable part, and at least one annular sealing element. The annular sealing element is connected with the expandable part and has an axial length along the axial extension of the downhole annular barrier which is less than 50% of a length of the downhole annular barrier along the axial extension of the downhole annular barrier. The annular sealing element has a spring element.

Annular barrier with a seal

A downhole injection tool has an injection unit with a first expandable cup adapted to provide a first seal against the inside wall, and a second expandable cup adapted to provide a second seal against the inside wall. The two cups, in an expanded state, together define an isolated zone of the annular space. At least one pipe element extends in a longitudinal direction between the two cups, the pipe element providing a fluid passage between an inlet arranged in one end of the pipe element and an outlet arranged in the pipe element in between the cups, the second expandable cup being slidably connected with the pipe element and displaced in the longitudinal direction away from the first expandable cup under the influence of the injection fluid injected into the isolated zone, whereby a distance d between the two cups is increased. The injection unit also has a retainer sleeve slidably arranged around the expandable cups to prevent unintentional expansion of the expandable cups during insertion of the downhole injection tool. The retainer sleeve is slidable in the longitudinal direction, and the expandable cups are released by movement of the retainer sleeve in the longitudinal direction.
