A filter module for a filter assembly has a primary filter element and a secondary filter element. A water separation interface is provided for discharging water, which has been separated by the primary filter element from a fluid to be filtered, from the primary filter element. A primary filter interface is provided for discharging fluid, which has been filtered by the primary filter element, from the primary filter element. A secondary filter interface is provided for discharging the fluid, which has been filtered by the secondary filter element, from the secondary filter element. The water separation interface, the primary filter interface, and the secondary filter interface are arranged coaxially to a symmetry axis of the filter module. The water separation interface, the primary filter interface, and the secondary filter interface are each designed for outflow of material flows in axial direction of the symmetry axis.

A fuel filter has a separating device separating, from a medium flow comprising a first medium and a second medium, the first medium as a separated first medium contaminated with the second medium. The fuel filter has a cleaning device receiving a proportion of the second medium contained in the separated first medium. The cleaning device is arranged upstream of a discharge opening for discharging the first medium from the fuel filter. The cleaning device is provided with an absorbent/adsorbent cleaning material. The cleaning material contains or is made of an organoclay as an active component. The organoclay is a bulk material, wherein at least 50 wt. % of the organoclay has an average particle diameter of greater than 50 &#x3a6;m and smaller than 1,000 &#x3a6;m.

A fuel filter insert for a fuel filter has a low-pressure region with prefilter element arranged therein. A high-pressure region arranged fluidically downstream of the low-pressure region has a main filter element arranged therein. Prefilter element and main filter element are arranged one atop the other axially in the fuel filter insert. A wall element projects away from the main filter element in axial direction and extends at least partially through the prefilter element. Low-pressure region and high-pressure region at least over sections thereof are separated from each other by the wall element. A fuel filter is provided with a filter housing in which the fuel filter insert is arranged. The filter housing has a fuel outlet and a fuel inlet for fuel prefiltered by the prefilter element. Fuel inlet and fuel outlet are fluidically positioned between low-pressure region and high-pressure region and a fuel pump is connectable thereto.

A fuel filter insert for a fuel filter is provided with a prefilter element and a main filter element which are arranged one atop the other in an axial direction relative to a longitudinal axis of the fuel filter insert. The main filter element has a water separating unit configured to separate water contained in a fuel to be filtered. The water separating unit has a water discharge channel for water separated from the fuel, wherein the water discharge channel is extending in the axial direction at least partially through the prefilter element. A fuel filter with such a fuel filter insert has a filter housing accommodating the fuel filter insert and the water discharge channel of the fuel filter insert is fluidically connected with a water collecting chamber of the filter housing.

A fuel filter has a filter housing and a fuel filter insert exchangeably arranged in the filter housing and provided with a prefilter element and a main filter element. Prefilter element and main filter element are positioned one behind the other in the filter housing in axial direction of the filter housing. A fuel discharge channel is arranged in the filter housing below the fuel filter insert. In operating position of the fuel filter insert in the filter housing, the raw sides of prefilter element and of main filter element are sealed relative to the fuel discharge channel by seal-tight contact of the fuel filter insert on the filter housing. The raw side of the main filter element, when the fuel filter insert is moved by axial movement away from the operating position, is fluidically connected with the fuel discharge channel via the raw side of the prefilter element.

A cleaning module () for cleaning a media flow of a first medium contaminated with a second medium that has a housing () having an inlet () and an outlet () and a replaceable filter element () arranged within the housing (). In this arrangement, a flow direction () of the media flow is directed through the filter element () in the specified installed state against the force of gravity. The filter element () has an absorptive and/or adsorptive material () for picking up at least a portion of the second medium in the first medium. A filter element for filtering liquids has a folded filter medium with outer fold edges and inner fold edges, wherein the inner and outer fold edges extend along a longitudinal axis of the filter element. A support body is provided with a first support body section and a second support body section, wherein the first support body section is facing the inner fold edges and hugs closely an envelope of the inner fold edges. An envelope of the outer fold edges and the second support body section hug closely at least sectionwise an outer circumferential surface of the filter element.

A fuel filter insert for a fuel filter including: a pre-filter element having a upper and lower end plate, the end plates arranged on opposing ends of filter medium of the pre-filter element; a main filter element having upper and lower end plates, the end plates arranged on opposing ends of filter medium of the main filter element; wherein the pre-filter element and the main filter element as arranged one above the other in a direction of a longitudinal axis of the fuel filter insert; wherein at least one of the filter elements is through-flowable from the outside to the inside by fuel in a radial direction relative to the longitudinal axis; and a flow channel for the fuel pre-filtered by the pre-filter element; wherein the flow channel is arranged to extend in the axial direction between the pre-filter element and the main filter element.

A filter element is provided with a folded bellows that has a first pleated section with parallel arranged first pleats and a second pleated section with parallel arranged second pleats. The first pleats of the first pleated section are positioned at an angle relative to the second pleats of the second pleated section. The end face edges of the first pleats of the first pleated section adjoin a first clean chamber. The end face edges of the second pleats of the second pleated section adjoin a second clean chamber. The second clean chamber is delimited by a longitudinal side of an edge-side pleat of the first pleated section. The first and second clean chambers are connected to each other. A filter insert with such a filter element is provided.

Pleated filter element

A filter insert piece has a filter element with first and second pleated sections each having parallel pleats. The first and second pleated sections each have an inflow side. A first flat outflow side of the first pleated section and a second flat outflow side of the second pleated section adjoin a common clean chamber of the filter element. A length of the pleats of the first and second pleated sections is such that a spacing of an outwardly positioned pleat end face of the pleats at the first or second inflow side, respectively, relative to the center axis increases or decreases monotonic from pleat to pleat. The respective end pleats of the first and of the second pleated sections have a different length extension measured from the outwardly positioned pleat end face of the first end pleats or the second end pleats relative to the center axis.
