A method for data communication in a vehicle between an in-vehicle device and a mobile device coupled with the vehicle includes transmitting, by the in-vehicle device, data via a data bus of the vehicle to an in-vehicle data communication device, a first data protocol being used for this purpose, in which an arbitration occurs. The data communication device converts the data, and the data communication device transmits the converted data via a data link to the mobile device. A second data protocol is used in the data transmission from the in-vehicle data communication device to the mobile device, in which no arbitration occurs. A data communication device by which the method of the invention may be implemented is also described.

Method for data communication in a vehicle and data communication device

An in-vehicle system for providing a driver with access to functionality of a mobile device that includes a head unit with an in-vehicle display for providing infotainment to the driver, software that configures the user interface with a graphical scheme native to the head unit, and a software interface by which the head unit can receive deep links from the mobile device. Deep links identify application contexts available within the mobile software applications, and are made available to a user from within in-vehicle software applications. When a user selects a deep link from within an in-vehicle software application, the deep link is followed and the appropriate application context is rendered by mobile device. The application context is then mirrored onto the in-vehicle display, where a driver can view and interact with it using mirroring technology.

The mobile device is configured to access the vehicle data through the interface and post the vehicle data to a user network. Method to transmit real-time in-vehicle information to an internet service

A method for operating an Internet-Protocol-based functional system in a vehicle with at least two system units separatably connected to one another in which a local IP address is respectively allocated to a first system unit and to a second system unit and data are transmitted between the first system unit and the second system unit with a reproduction rule for the purpose of carrying out a first function, wherein one of the system units acts as a transmitting system unit and the other system unit acts as a receiving system unit. The data are evaluated in the receiving system unit with the reproduction rule, the reproduction rule is used to refer to a memory location of a memory associated with the execution program code for the first function, and the first function is carried out via the receiving system unit using the data in the reproduction rule.

Method for operating an internet-protocol-based functional system and associated internet-protocol-based functional system in a vehicle

In-vehicle access of mobile device functions is provided wherein a vehicle is coupled to the mobile device, and obtains a list of apps installed thereon. A user manipulates vehicle controls to operate a select app and the vehicle modifies its display based on the app.
