A mop cover for cleaning surfaces, having a main body, configured and modified in such a way that the mop cover has an abrasive surface by which hairs and particles of dirt can be reliably picked up, wherein flock material is assigned to the main body, the flock material being disposed on a surface which can face a floor surface to be cleaned.

Mop cover

A mop comprising a mop head () that has at least one cleaning strip () is disclosed. The cleaning strip () comprises at least one cleaning surface () on which raised cleaning islands () made of flock fibers are arranged. The cleaning strip () is attached to the mop head () at one of its ends () and has a free end (). The raised cleaning islands () on the at least one cleaning surface () of the cleaning strip () are arranged at certain distances () from each other and are surrounded on all sides by storage spaces () for holding dirt. The size of the storage spaces () steadily decreases from the end () of the cleaning surface () facing the mop head () in the mopping direction () of the free end ().

Head () for a mop (), comprising a carrying body () which can be connected to a handle () and on which are fastened cleaning strips () made of textile material, and also comprising an abrasive body (), wherein the abrasive body () is connected with adhering action to at least one cleaning strip ().
