A device and a method for attaching a resealable opening device () on a package (), the device comprising an attachment unit () having at least one carrier member () being movable between a pick-up position and an attachment position, in which latter the carrier member () is arranged for attachment of the opening device on the package by means of relative movement between the carrier member and the package. The device further comprises an abutment () and a knife arrangement (), wherein the at least one carrier member, in said pick-up position, is arranged for relative movement towards the abutment for engagement with a web () of interconnected opening devices arranged therebetween and for pick-up of one opening device; and wherein the knife arrangement is arranged to cooperate with the carrier member and the abutment or cutting out the opening device during the engagement of the carrier member with the web.

Device and method for attachment of an opening device on a flexible package

A resealable opening device for a flexible package () of collapsible type having a compartment defined by flexible walls (), comprising a thin-walled body () having a back surface () attachable on one of the flexible walls () of the package () in a dispensing portion () of the package, a first hinge joint () extending in a first direction (P) and connecting a first section () of the body () with a second section () of the body (), the thin-wall body () being intended to be arranged such that the first hinge joint () is arranged transversely to a dispensing direction (P) of the package, and a second hinge joint () extending in a second direction (P) crossing the first hinge joint (), wherein a locking member () is arranged for locking the first section () to the second section () when the first and second sections () are folded towards each other about the first hinge joint (). The thin-walled body () is further provided with a third hinge joint () extending in a third direction (P) crossing the first hinge joint () and arranged at a distance from the second hinge joint (). The thin-walled body is adaptable to an outwardly bulging shape change of the flexible wall () on which the device is intended to be attached. The invention also relates to a package provided with such a resealable opening device.

The present invention concerns a method and a device for absolute measurement of a print repeat length and/or at least one package length of a moving packaging web () in line with a printing machine. Normally the print repeat length and one package length are measured and analysed simultaneously. The measurements are made by means of a number of CCD-cameras () connected to a computer () by means of a frame grabber ().
