A handling device () for an installable and retrievable subsea apparatus () to engage a docking device () on a subsea installation, the docking device () having a pair of engagement members (). The device () is provided with a top member () and a pair of engagement arms () depending therefrom to extend along the outside of the apparatus (). Each of the arms () at a free end thereof is provided with a hook () configured to engage in releasable way the engagement members (). A rotatable handle () is located above the top member () and has an integral or linked stem () which extends through the top member () and is pivotally linked to a top region of the apparatus (). The handle () is able to operate the engagement arms () relative to the engagement members ().

In a method for controlling a gearshift mechanism, the gearshift mechanism having at least one shifting element, a gear release element, a shift actuator and a selector actuator, in which the shifting element is movable by the selector actuator along a selector track, and is movable from the selector track at sites spaced from each other by means of the shift actuator into shift tracks for engagement of a gear, and the gear release element is coupled to the shifting element, so that during engagement of the new gear, it disengages a previously engaged gear, the shifting element, after engagement of a gear, is moved by the shift actuator in the direction toward the selector track into a rest position right in front of the discharge of the shift track into the selector track, in which it remains, until it is moved for engagement of a new gear.

Method and device for controlling a gearshift mechanism

In a method for shifting gears of an automatic transmission, in which a shift finger can be moved by a selective actuator along a selective path into various selective positions, out of which the shift finger can be moved via a shift actuator into different shift paths and the shift finger engages a gear each when it is moved into an end region of a shift path, the selective actuator is activated for verifying the correct function of the selective actuator and its connection to the shift finger prior to each engagement of a new gear within a shift path such that by approaching the edge of the shift gear the respective shift path is detected.

Method for controlling a gear-shifting process in a manual transmission with active interlock

A power transmission for a motor vehicle. The transmission includes a plurality of transmission ratio steps defined by pairs of gear carried on parallel shafts, and final output mechanisms for engaging desired transmission ratio steps. The final output mechanisms are operable for controlling the engagement of respective transmission ratio steps to minimize tractive force interruption by allowing rapid gear changes to be effected to reduce the times between shifts of gears. By sensing accelerator pedal position and vehicle speed a new transmission ratio step to be subsequently engaged can be pre-selected while an engaged gear remains engaged.

Transmission

An actuator for a motor vehicle transmission has a shift cylinder performing rotary actuating movements. An electric motor is arranged inside the shift cylinder and drives the latter either through a harmonic drive mechanism or a planetary drive mechanism. The arrangement provides a high reduction ratio and an efficient use of limited space.
