The present invention relates to a dental abutment blank comprising a body having a first end and a second end, a connection section at the first end that is configured to be connected to a dental implant, a channel having a longitudinal axis and defining an opening at the first end and a closed end at a distance from the second end of the body; to methods for manufacturing a dental prosthesis having an angulated screw channel from said blank as well as to a dental prosthesis having an angulated screw channel manufactured from said blank.

A screw-shaped anchoring fixture for anchoring a prosthesis in the skull bone. The anchoring fixture comprises a main body configured to be implanted into the bone and a flange configured to function as a stop to prevent the main body from completely penetrating through the bone. The main body comprises a distal tapered apical portion, a first portion, and a second portion. The inner diameter of the second portion is greater than the inner diameter of the first portion. The method for inserting the anchoring fixture includes providing the anchoring fixture, drilling a hole, and inserting the anchoring fixture into the hole until the flange contacts the skull bone, wherein the hole has a diameter that is greater than the inner diameter of the first portion and less than the outer diameter of the second portion.

According to an embodiment, a magnetic unit assembly for a bone conducting hearing aid is disclosed. The magnetic unit assembly is implantable and comprises one or more magnetic unit and unit for attaching the one or more magnetic unit to the tissue surrounding the magnetic unit assembly when the magnetic unit assembly is implanted in the body of a hearing aid user. A hearing aid interconnection system is disclosed. A vibrator for generating vibrations in a bone conducting hearing device, i.e. a hearing device of the type in which the sound information is mechanically transmitted via the skull bone directly to the inner ear of a person. The vibratory movements are provided by a piezo-electric or magneto-elastic element arranged to transfer the vibrations via the skull bone from the area behind the outer ear to the inner ear. The piezo-electric or magneto-elastic element is arranged to be at least partially implanted in a surgically drilled hole directly into the mastoid bone behind the outer ear so that the vibrations are transferred directly from the element to the bone and transferred in the skull bone to the inner ear. The element is encapsulated with a bone integrating material, such as titanium or various biocompatible ceramic materials or coatings and is disc shaped and acts with a radial expansion upon electrical stimulation so that longitudinal sound waves are induced into the skull bone.
