The invention relates to a yarn processing system comprising a textile machine and at least one yarn feeding device, which are assigned to the peripheral auxiliary devices wherein the yarn feeding device has a computerised control device that is connected by signal transmission to the auxiliary device. At least certain auxiliary devices have at least one component configured in such a way that they generate and/or receive signals. The yarn feeding device has at least one local, autonomous communication bus system for the transmission of serial data at least from and/or to the auxiliary devices, said bus system being connected to the control device.

Yarn processing system and yarn feeding device

The invention relates to a yarn feeding device (F) for weaving or knitting machines whose winding element (W) is driven by an electric motor (M) controlled by an electronic speed control device (CU). According to the invention, the electric motor (M) is a synchronous motor, in particular, a permanent magnet (PM) motor with the speed control device (CU) provided for effecting a permanent vector control with the stator being sinusoidally acted upon. Continuously determined information pertaining to the relevant rotational position of the rotor (R) of the motor (M) is used in the speed control device (CU), which serves to perform permanent vector control, in order to adjust at least one predetermined rotational position (X, X) of the winding element (W).

Yarn feeding device

A device for controlling and monitoring a yarn processing system, which comprises an electronic main control unit and at least one yarn feeding unit, and inside of which a serial communications field bus system is provided with at least one field bus for carrying out communication. At least one bi-directional event line is provided outside the field bus system in order to transmit a time critical and/or time-specific, digital and anonymous event signal for carrying out and/or confirming events. For at least one communication participant connected to the field bus system, an event specific characteristic feature of respective event signal can be defined by the software side configuration inside the field bus system.

Device and method for controlling and/or monitoring a yarn processing system

In order to monitor/adjust production in a circular knitting machine including several knitting systems and several yarn feeder devices, yarn is fed to active knitting systems from several supply devices operating according to at least two different yarn feeding principles, and in a non-positive manner. The individually fed amounts of yarn are continuously measured by means of scanned real rotation signals of the feeder devices. In order to obtain monitoring information and/or adjustment measures, comparisons are made with corresponding set amounts of yarn within at least one range of tolerance, the extent of which is adapted at least to yarn quality and/or yarn path parameters. At least one user interface can be configured in a display in a computerised production monitoring/adjustment device, whereby it is possible to select therein each individual yarn feeder device according to an optimum yarn transport principle for a specific knitting system, from a plurality of yarn feeder devices which are arranged on the knitting machine in an operative state.

Method for monitoring/adjusting production in a knitting machine, and a monitoring/adjusting device therefor

The invention relates to a method for controlling a yarn processing system comprising a textile machine, a yarn feed device and a supply spool. According to the inventive method, the yarn feed device pulls the yarn from the supply spool with varying speed and forms and maintains a yarn intermediate store. In addition, a rotatable supply spool (B) is turned at least by the yarn tension elicited by the winding drive ( ) of the yarn feed device (F), and the yarn (Y) is tangentially removed from the supply spool (B).

Method for controlling a yarn processing system and a yarn processing system

A yarn processing system includes a yarn consuming textile machine and at least one yard feeding device, each having electric drive means and electronic control and/or monitoring means. The yarn processing system includes data transmission paths for mutual transmissions between the control and/or monitoring means wherein each of the control and/or monitoring means contains one communication microprocessor for serial or serial and digital transmission of data representing information types in the form of a communication protocol. The information types differ in ranking with real-time transmission priority of at least the information type of the highest ranking. In each control and/or monitoring device, the communication microprocessor is connected with a stationary radio transmitter/receiver for carrying out the data transmission via wireless transmission paths within a frequency band available for industrial applications, and between the communication microprocessor and the radio transmitter/receiver a radio media access control interface means is provided. Operation of the yarn processing system is controlled and monitored by data radio transmission within a frequency band as available for industrial applications wherein any information of any information type as provided by a communication microprocessor is converted by the radio media access control interface means into a radio message transmitted by said radio transmitter/receiver to at least one other distant radio transmitter/receiver and then is reconverted into said information type for at least one other communication microprocessor.

Yarn processing system and method to operate a yarn processing system

A device for the selective braking of a running yarn including a controlled yarn brake having at least two brake elements between which the yarn runs, which brake elements can be elastically pressed against each other with an adjustable force that determines the braking effect. The device also includes a first actuator for the temporary nullification of the braking effect, a control device to which the first actuator is connected, and a device for adjusting the brake force. The adjustment device includes a second actuator, which is also connected to a control device.

Device and method for variably braking a running yard

A yarn processing system which includes a yarn feeding device and an accessory device associated with the yarn feeding device. The accessory device has a device which is driven using a signal representing the rotational speed of a component of the yarn feeding device. The signal is generated by an electronic sensor galvanically separated from the control system and the drive mechanism of the yarn feeding device. The sensor also is structurally independent from the yarn feeding device. The sensor is located at or close to the yarn feeding device at a mounting location where a part of a rotating magnetic field is detected by the sensor at the mounting location. The part of the magnetic field originating from inside of the yarn feeding device is not used for the operation of the yarn feeding device at the mounting location of the sensor.

Yarn processing system

A yarn processing system including a feeding device, a power loom, a controllable yarn tension device which is situated downstream from the feeding device, and a tensiometer which supplies a signal that represents the yarn tension and which is arranged downstream from the yarn tension device. The tensiometer includes a separating device which can be adjusted between a passive position and a separating position and with which a temporary separation between the tensiometer and the weft yarn can be effected in order to generate a zero yarn tension signal for a signal analysis device. In addition, the weft yarn is temporarily separated from the tensiometer probe during the interval between successive insertion operations, and a calibration is carried out for a future control operation by using the zero yarn tension signal.

Yarn processing system with weft yarn tension regulation

An axial disc brake, particularly for a yarn feeding device, having braking surfaces which are axially pressed against each other with a predetermined yieldable contact pressure. One of said braking surfaces has a spherical convex shape, and the other braking surface is conical with a cone axis lying at least approximately along the axis of the disc brake. The axial disc brake can be provided at the front end of a storage drum of a yarn feeding device of a projectile or gripper weaving machine, such that the yarn withdrawn from the storage drum rotates like the pointer of a clock along a yarn guiding surface and directly enters into the contact zone of the braking surfaces without deflection, and is deflected after having passed the contact zone gently in the axial direction.
