An absorbent hygienic article for absorbing body fluids, the article including a liquid absorbent top layer and a backing layer, the top layer and the backing layer being made from roll materials and being joined together. The top layer is constituted by a cellulosic fibrous web, the fibres in the cellulosic fibrous web being constituted by a mixture of cellulose fibres, the mixture including regenerated cellulose fibres or natural cellulose staple fibres and cellulose pulp fibres, the cellulosic fibrous web being a foam-formed, hydroentangled cellulosic fibrous web.

Absorbent hygienic article for absorbing body fluids

An absorbent hygienic article for absorbing body fluids, the article including a liquid permeable topsheet, a backing layer and an absorbent core arranged between the topsheet and the backing layer, the topsheet and the backing layer being made from roll materials. The topsheet or an absorbent layer in the absorbent core is constituted by a cellulosic fibrous web, the fibres in the cellulosic fibrous web being constituted by a mixture of cellulose fibres including regenerated cellulose fibres or natural cellulose staple fibres and cellulose pulp fibres, the cellulosic fibrous web being a foam-formed, hydroentangled fibrous web.

An absorbent material, such as a non-woven web or a tissue paper, includes continuous filaments and short fibers, the short fibers including natural and/or synthetic fibers or staple fibers. The absorbent material exhibits an absorbency speed of equal to or less than 2 s and a weight loss when washed of equal to or less than 5%. The absorbent material can be incorporated into a wipe.

A fibrous structure exhibits an absorbency time of equal to or less than 1.5 s and exhibits an antimicrobial effect.

A hydroentangled integrated composite nonwoven material, includes a mixture of randomized continuous filaments, splittable shortcut staple fibers, and optionally non-splittable staple fibers. The splittable fibers should be 3-16 mm long bicomponent fibers. Preferably there should be no thermal bonding points between the filaments. The nonwoven material has improved textile feeling and reduced two-sidedness. The continuous filaments should preferably be spunlaid filaments. Some of the staple fibers can be colored. A process of producing such a nonwoven material is disclosed.

Hydroentangled split-fibre nonwoven material

A method for producing a flushable hydroentangled moist wipe or hygiene tissue includes the steps of: dry-, wet-, or foam-forming a fibrous web on a moving support, hydroentangling said fibrous web in a hydroentangling station to form a hydroentangled nonwoven web. The moving support includes a plurality of protruding elongated elements protruding above the surface of the moving support. The protruding elements will produce weakenings in the hydroentangled web.

Method for producing a flushable hydroentangled moist wipe or hygiene tissue

A sheet of wiping material has a first outer surface and a second outer surface and a core region between the surfaces. The wiping material includes absorbent fibers and non-absorbent fibers. The wiping material has a stratified structure with a fiber gradient and a higher ratio of absorbent fibers to non-absorbent fibers at the outer surfaces of the wiping material than in the core region. A method of producing the wiping material is described.

Laminate having improved wiping properties and a method for producing the laminate

A web, such as a tissue or nonwoven web. Perforation lines in the web define sheets. The web is folded before being rolled or stacked, such that the intersection of the perforation lines and the folding line provides reliable dispensing. The web in roll or stack form, a method for forming the web, and a dispenser adapted for dispensing the web are also described.

Folded perforated web

A nonwoven material including at least two layers integrated into each other, for use as a body facing sheet in an absorbent article. The first layer includes spunlaid filaments and the second layer includes staple fibers. The staple fibers have a thickness &#x2266;1.5 dtex, and the filaments have a thickness &#x2267;2.5 dtex. Further, an absorbent article, such as a sanitary napkin, panty liner, incontinence protector or diaper can include the nonwoven material as a body facing sheet.

Non-woven material for use as a body facing sheet in an absorbent article

A hydroentangled nonwoven material (), includes a mixture of randomized continuous filaments () and natural fibers (), wherein at least part of the staple fibers and/or the continuous filaments includes thermoplastic material. The nonwoven material is bonded in a non-random bonding pattern including a plurality of bonding sites () in which thermoplastic material included in the nonwoven material has been caused to at least partly soften or melt to create thermal bonds between the continuous filaments. The nonwoven material includes no other thermal bonds between the filaments than provided by the non-random bonding pattern. The nonwoven material may also contain synthetic staple fibers ().

Hydroentangled nonwoven material

An improved hydroentangled well integrated composite nonwoven material, including a mixture of continuous filaments, synthetic staple fibers, and natural fibers which has a reduced twosidedness and an improved textile feeling. The synthetic staple fibers should have a length of 3 to 7 mm, and preferably there should be no thermal bondings between the filaments. The method of producing such a nonwoven material is also disclosed. The nonwoven includes a mixture of 10-50 w-% continuous filaments preferably chosen from polypropylene, polyesters and polylactides, 5-50 w-% synthetic staple fibers chosen from polyethylene, polypropylene, polyesters, polyamides, polylactides, rayon, and lyocell, and 20-85 w-% natural fibers, preferably pulp.

Method of producing an impulse dried wetlaid fibrous web-shaped material, such as paper or non-woven, having a three-dimensional pattern of alternating raised and recessed portions, which have been provided in connection with impulse drying, at which the wet fibrous web is passed through at least one press nip ( ) comprising rotatable roll ( ) which is heated and that the fibrous web during the passage through the press nip is given a three-dimensional pattern of alternating raised and recessed portions either by means of a patterned wire ( ) and/or by a pattern on the heated roll ( ) To the fibrous web there has been added a material that softens or melts in the temperature interval 100-400&deg; C. and that at least the parts of the fibrous web that is located closest to the raised portions of the heated roll ( ) are heated to such a high temperature that said material softens or melts and by that provides an increased amount of bonding points in the fibrous web. There is further provided a thermobonded impulse dried material produced by the method.

Method of producing a nonwoven material by hydroentangling a fiber mixture containing continuous filaments, e g meltblown and/or spunbond fibers, and natural fibers and/or synthetic staple fibers. The method is characterized by foamforming a fibrous web (14) of natural fibers and/or synthetic staple fibers and hydroentangling together the foamed fiber dispersion with the continuous filaments (11) for forming a composite material where the continuous filaments are well integrated with the rest of the fibers.
